What fascinates me about the ‘switchers’ is that they’re not too embarrassed to crawl in public
I ask myself one question when I see people like Kevin Drake, Kenneth Zammit Tabona and Tony Zahra (who isn’t a switcher, anyway) give public testimonials for Joseph Muscat:
WOULD THEY BE DOING THIS IF THEY DIDN’T THINK HE WAS GOING TO WIN?
Of course not. And that just about shows you where the courage of their convictions lies.
This is all about prostituting yourself to the victors, and has absolutely nothing to do with political beliefs as it does with, say Ramona Frendo, Marlene Seychell, and a few others who have been Labour all their lives.
If JosephMuscat.com were heading for a concrete wall and a major loss, would Kenneth and Kevin be telling the nation they’re going to vote Labour?
As if.
They might still vote Labour, of course, but they wouldn’t boast about it or do something public for nothing.
It’s a bit cheap and tacky. For God’s sake keep your dignity, boys, however you vote.

With Kenneth it is investing with Joseph and Michelle to make sure that he will keep his vice chairman position at the Manoel Theatre.
Looking forward to seeing Kenneth on the Sliema front celebrating with Cyrus Engerer and waving the red flags.
Retain his vice chairmanship? He’s obviously aiming for the chairmanship itself. What a slut.
How about Minister for Culture whilst we’re at it? Envy is a curious thing, especially when you feel that you always get the short end of the stick in your family of doctors and recognition. Having stepped on a back or two to get what he got, it hasn’t been enough since 2009.
He’s been busy arranging meetings for Joseph since then. The wink a clinch type. Check the character parametres for these though. FBI investigations and all. This one’s worse than Toni, Tony and Franco put together. Your Jekyll and Hyde par excellence. Joseph’s inspiration. Mintoff’s roadmap by Joseph’s admission. Zero values.
Whatever Mario can do, I can do better. Forget friendships. These are serious matters. Halls of fame and world tours beckon. Roots unite.
Imma z-zejt f’wicc l-ilma jitla.
Waving red flags might not be Kenneth’s style. He’s more likely to have Joseph and Michelle home for dinner (again) to celebrate.
Problema wahda ghandhom dawn in-nies…It-tigrija sal-barkun.
I don’t understand these people.
Has mass delusion overtaken this island?
Don’t they realise that Labour’s changes are all superficial?
The ties, the E.U flag, the renaming of the party.
The outside must look good, but the inside is as rotten as ever.
Kevin Drake “We need more hope?” Really?
And Joseph Muscat gives him hope?
And the reciting of the National Anthem? Please.
Well, he always was a good performer, a trained actor.
People like Kevin Drake will not be embarrassed at all as they are too greedy and lazy.
Kevin under the PN got what he wanted and was even kept on at the Malta Tourism Authority despite not being able to do his job.
But now he calls himself a switcher and says that Joseph is the only hope.
Perhaps Kenneth Zammit Tabona’s not really a switcher either?
A swiper maybe?
No. He was born that way and quite proud of it.
Hawn min jaghmel karriera milli jaqilghu f’s**mu. The Labour Party is their obvious home.
Forsi qed jistennew il-premju wara l-elezzjoni. Veru Moviment tal-Opportunisti.
Mhux ‘forsi’. Zgurissmu!
Very well said Daphne.
And why do they for one moment think we are interested in how they are going to vote? Do they immagine us as sheep, to be impressed by their choices?
They claim that are going to vote for the Malta Labour Party. Fine, congratulations, and I hope they will not regret it. But whatever they say, will not in any way convince me to vote otherwise. Or are we supposed to think, ‘EEEEh, look Kevin and Kenneth are voting Labour, so I just have to do so as well.’
If that is what they are thinking, than they really were always Labour at heart. This is very much like that idiot who uses the nom de plume, Ex PN, on the Times comments. Just because he switched (I don’t believe it in his case), am I supposed to get all starry eyed when I see Joseph Muscat?
Please, do credit our intelligence.
Jista Kevin Drake jghidilna kif spicca minn mar-Radio 101? Vera li spicca bil-banda? Nahseb John Bundy jaf xi haga. Kienu jinhabbu hafna.
I am afraid dignity has become a very scare commodity since it is based on solid values rather than on convenience and eagerness to jump on the (presumed) winning bandwagon.
Hear Hear !
Why are you surprised that Kenneth Zammmit Tabona is showing his true colours? Way back in the eighties when Mid Med Bank took over Barclays, out of the blue he was stationed as a cashier at the Manwel Dimech Street branch showing off as a drama queen.
Deep down he was always Labour, so there is no shifting whatsoever. True Labour. Anzi Mintoffjan ippatentjat.
It would be nice if there was another party that was serious enough for switching to occur. But at present there is only the Nationalists.
Kevin Drake has had a personal grudge against Lawrence Gonzi for quite a few years.
He held it back for a while and displayed it for the first time in the first MEP elections when he backed Arnold Cassola instead of his ex-wife or any PN candidate (Gonzi had become PN leader by then).
What shocks me is Muscat’s deliberate manipulative use of such physically weak and emotionally fragile people.
Such action will never occur at a PN event.
Muscat is so shallow and so morally corrupt that he has no moral limit below which he will not go.
Joseph Muscat is deliberately pushing Alfred Sant’s games to a new (shallow) unethical level, which was never thought to be possible in local politics. His behaviour has just green-lighted a floodgate of similar behavior in the years to come.
On the other hand, Kenneth Zammit Tabona is actually prostituting himself for his life-long obsession (something that Muscat knew all along) of being the creator and director of a contemporary art museum in Malta, even though it might not be economically feasible and that will be a burden to the Maltese taxpayer both in terms of capital expenditure and operational costs.
Its revenue, if any, will barely cover its running costs.
Otherwise, if Kenneth was so keen about it, he would have gathered a few enterpreneurs such as Tony Zahra and the super-rich contractors financing the MLP, to build and create his dream museum, in return for a profit. But no, he wants the taxpayer to pay for it and bear out his ego.
P. Shaw: Kevin Drake, as well as all those former GonziPN supporters who have appeared during PL events, have done this out of their own free will ! Kevin Drake made this quite clear. About time YOU TOO start opening your eyes.
Perhaps that’s the card he showed to one and all. I believe there are several cards he went holding.
He can forget it – I am sure that no one will take it away from Raphael Vella.
Kevin Drake too? What a backbone! Prostitution of the political kind.
I believe they do it to spite Nationalist friends.
Mussolini, in the 2nd World War, did not ally himself with the western democracies, like his country did in World War I.
Instead of keeping Italy neutral, he collaborated with Hitler since he was convinced that Germany would win the war, and thus collect some of the booty.
We have many small Mussolinis this time round.
As a matter of fact, Benito declared war on the Western democracies AFTER France had capitulated in mid-June 1940 – and not before. His argument, presumably, was that ‘the going’ was actually good till then and, presumably, would be even better in the future.
As history has shown, however, Benito was very mistaken at that time – and had to pay very heavily for his mistakes later on. And, incidentally, so did the whole of Italy!
Very negative messages about a possible PN loss.
This is not going to discourage me from taking leave and paying my flight to come vote against the MLP. Screw these idiots.
I grew up on the same block as you, Kevin and Kenneth.
Actually somehow never really liked those chaps though.. they’ve given me a reason now. Thanks guys, I was right about thinking you were just twats.
I believe in 6 months time you will regret having voted GonziPN . You would have realised by then, that there is a much better way of doing politics than the one resorted to by GonziPN’s clique !
Yeah, yeah Mr Drake it’s all about ME in 2013, same as it was all about ME in 1987.
How do these opinion polls compare to the 1996 ones?
The point of my question is that most opinion polls say that PL lead PN by approx 10%. Not even in 1987 did the PN beat MLP by 10%.
There’s also a 15 – 20% “unkown”. This level of uncertainty would knock the wind out of anyone’s sail.
The only comparable thing would be the build up to the 1996 elections – everybody was “bored” of Fenech Adami and Sant’s MLP appeared reformed enough for most people to give it a chance.
I am convinced that Kevin, Kenneth and all the switchers are heading for a great disappointment. It-tigrija sal-barkun.
We remember Kenneth’s obsession with Napoleon. Now it’s Michelle and Joseph, and of course a plum job. Che peccato, to stoop so low, twice on One TV in one week. As he would say: “Maaaaaaa”.
Funnily enough, I have to agree with you here on this one.
Though we have to admit that a good testimonial always projects positive vibes.
Shouldn’t Kenneth have the decency to resign his grace and favour position at the Manoel Theatre if he doesn’t have the good manners to shut up?
