Sent in by H. P. Baxxter, on the subject of Malta’s very own Walmart version of Posh ‘n’ Becks ta’ Burmarrad:
Però rridu nammettu li match made in heaven. It-tnejn tal-hartiet.
And another one from the same man, in response to a supporter of Joseph Muscat who wrote in to accuse all and sundry of ‘velenu’:
Li tkun kontra l-Labour huwa velenu?
Mela hawn hija l-lethal injection tieghi: Nivvota ghall-partit li fottieli zoghziti u fotta lil Malta? INZ********B!
Thank you for expressing our feelings so eloquently, H. P.

Hear, hear!
So Baxxter’s middle-aged. What’s he doing hanging round Paceville?
Er, between 1996 and 2003 I was still what you might call a youth.
Middle-aged man here – and I can confirm that the regime hxewli zoghziti. And I’ve just spent the best half of this morning describing what life was like to my offspring’s friends.
“But that was in the past”, they say. “Ah yes… well tell that to Leo, AST, Varist, Debono Grech and the other fogeys waiting in the wings to run your lives”.
Every pot has a lid!
Posh n’ Becks ain’t ever gonna’ mess up the lives of 400,000 people.
Plastic people are OK on the telly ’cause it is make- believe.
These phony duo will be a smiling nightmare and a bad joke on the paying public.
My goodness, is she wearing satin? I hope she doesn’t leave her glass shoe behind as she walks.
She is wearing sheer gimp.
It is the finest of the finest, fit for a queen.

Bil-Malti nghidu ghal kull vas hawn sorm.
He was still comfy in that suit. Now it’s bursting at the seams, and the button will pop out one of these days.
Amen, Baxxter.
However offensive this may sound, if I were part of the fashion police I would arrest Michelle for wearing the dress above, even if she were not the Opposition leader’s wife. It is an atrocious dress, wrong choice of material, wrongly applied material, horrible seams, visible bad stitching.
I don’t do women’s style, but that atrocious dress is wrong on a fundamental sartorial level.
We often get “invites” to black tie events. Now the purpose of black tie or a dinner suit is plainness of style and colour, so all the attention can be lavished on the ladies’ gowns.
For the same reason, when it’s someone else that’s being sworn in, and when you’re only there, so to speak, as an accessory, you don’t wear a hi-viz dress.
