From 1980s colour TVs to PV panels: Herr Flick Brincat is going to be in his element

Leo Brincat Colour TV salesman 001

Leo Brincat spent most of his time in the early 1980s, when he was a parliamentary secretary in the ghastly government of Labour Prime Minister KMB, selecting individuals who would be allowed to BUY a colour TV for the equivalent of three months’ salary.

Here’s a letter he wrote to Philip Muscat, Labour Minister of People’s Industries (lovely USSR name) and uncle of ‘I’m so independent and unbiased’ blogger and Facebook fanatic Josanne Cassar.

And guess what? THIRTY YEARS LATER our Leo is in luck. People brought him back into government – you know, for a change, just like when we bring back flares and platforms after two generations because we’ve forgotten what they were like first time round or never knew – and he has the chance to do it all again.

As Minister for the Environment, he has responsibility for the EU scheme on PV panels, so he can start giving those out to favoured friends just as he used to do in the glory days of Lejberrr.

The Malta Resources Authority has just launched a €21 million fund to help families invest in PV panels. The fund, which is being financed completely by the EU, is targeted to help 8,400 families, funding half the cost of the panels up to a maximum of €2,500.

How come Bondi+ is not on today? And why is Reno running a show with such an inept panel? Are these the people running this country? I’m panicking.

So according to the democrat way back in 1984, Brincat poses as a mature politician. And thirty-odd years later he’s a Wicc Gdid.

Are we already back to the 80s? I would love to know as I need to see my hairdresser and in case we’re already there, i’ll ask her to flick my hair you know as to be in fashion with the times we’re living.

I think the reason PL is in power because “some men just want to watch the world burn” (quoted from the Dark Knight movie).

Maybe those same men have followed the late George Carlin’s advice: “So, have a little fun. Soon enough you’ll be dead and burning in Hell with the rest of your family”.

It’s really disturbing to be able to match Maltese politics with entertainment shows.

It’s mystifying how these 60 and 70 year old pieces of shit still have the ability to float to the top of the latrine.
