Gino Cauchi, who had high hopes for election to parliament, having received wide exposure on television during the campaign and even before that, but who failed to get there, has been named Labour Party CEO with immediate effect.
He takes over from James Piscopo, who is now ‘executive chairman’ of Transport Malta.

Gino Cauchi failed to get RE-elected.
Therefore it is safe to say that Muscat has appointed a failure as CEO.
Blimey, even Joseph’s skip bottoms out eventually.
I wrote ‘that Muscat has appointed..” purposely.
Who appoints the CEO according to the Labour statute? The executive, the General Council or the Dear Leader?
“Mr Cauchi, who was not elected in the last election, received the appointment – with immediate effect – from Labour leader Joseph Muscat.”
Did you think they’d go for Paul Borg Olivier?
We’ve long been saying that Labour has gone to the dogs, so I salute this wise decision.
It’s all downhill from here!
Interessanti.Thalla l-ispazju fix-Xandir ghas-sur Jason Micallef?
It seems that all that media exposure made his unbearable smug smirk unbearable even to diehard Laburisti.
In the meantime Gino Cauchi has also been employed in the Prime Minister’s Secretariat….

It cannot be, now that he is Labour CEO. We have to keep on checking whether this is corrected.
This is obscene.
This is bloody ridiculous. Have these guys all worked for Labour simply to get cushy jobs at our expense?
I say let`s wait for Parliament to reconvene and the first PQ to be asked is about all the new employees on government’s payroll since March 10th.
I see Cefai Monica is on the list as well. What is a 68 year old Lil’elve doing at OPM? Ah I see, she’s getting her reward by Meritokrazija.
Toni, I have to agree with you Mr Jason Micallef for State Television.
Gino Cauchi. One of the faces of Labour I fear most.
