Simon Busuttil

Simon Busuttil, speaking at Ta’ Xbiex:

“Meta nsemmu l-passat, tal-Labour jgħidu li qed insemmu lill-passat. Meta nsemmu l-futur jgħidu li qed nippruvaw inbeżżgħu. Mela ħa nsemmu l-preżent: kull Gvern li Muscat issuġġerielna biex nagħmlu bħalhom, daħħal lil pajjiżu fil-ħajt.”

Can I contribute towards having this quote put up as a billboard tomorrow, please?

To add to what Simon Busuttil says here, one can say, that it is not only Malta that needs Dr Gonzi, but Europe itself. Europe needs Malta to vote Dr Gonzi. On the contrary, if Malta elects Muscat, then we will join that ”ten green bottles” scenario with all of us going down with the rest of them.

“…if we really do not want history to repeat itself, one way to do it is by remembering it.” http://malteserblog.blogspot.com/2013/02/history-and-national-unity-mutually.html

Where is the media campaign? This should be carved in GOLD.

  5. Sv says:

Well said, Simon – reality is that they are ashamed of their past and scared of their future and they live in fools’ paradise.

  6. Selit says:

They talk about unity. And yet most of their candidates are old faces who just remind us of those glorious years when even a chocolate bar was a non-existent luxury.

In the recent past, the only unity that comes to mind when we were students in 1997 is the unity in this video: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JQgs3QrH7F0

And to all those who voted for EU membership – how can you seriously consider a party which is proposing Dr Alfred Sant for MEP (the man who FROZE the EU membership application and ALSO said that a partnership won, going against the referendum result) as the next government?

How can the EU take us seriously if they send someone who does not believe in the EU as an MEP?

I think it is time for all disgruntled people to sit back and think.

If you want to change something, vote for the NEW PN candidates, many of whom are very valid and able people who can bring about the change required within the party.

And that is what is required – a change for the better within the Nationalist Party, not a change in the country’s direction to a party that couldn’t even change itself.

X’differenza Simon u Toni Abela, bahar jaqsam. Jekk jitla il-Labour fi zmien sena dizastru jkollna. Min ghadu qed jahsiba gibu quddiem ghajnejkhom lil uliedkhom u lil uliedhom.
