Nahseb li kieku Ferguson jaf xi jsarraf il-Labour hawn Malta zgur ma kienx jibghat l-apporvazjoni tieghu ghal Muscat.
Such nicely fitted ‘sjoots’, too.
i am not ashamed to say that when i heard Eddie’s voice on Fossos i could not hold back tears. Thank you Eddie for your presence. Tank you for all you and the PN have done for us, thank you for leading Malta in the EU, thank you for giving us the liberty we enjoy today, thank you for giving us Dr Lawrence Gonzi who is a great man like you. You make us proud both of you. We belong to a glorious party and we are not ashamed of the our leaders. Whatever happens tomorrow, we thank you both for doing your best, for giving us the Malta we have today and for making us proud again for being Maltese!
Must be the man from Naxxar, who owns a hotel. who swears like a drunken sailor and who asked Ferguson to send that note. Alex continue chewing your chewing gum and get lost.
Daphne you probably didn’t get the irony of that endorsement.
Sir Alex Ferguson has been at the helm at United for 27 years. So, the hidden message is that endorsement is why change a winning horse?
Why change a winning horse, for a donkey.

The juicy part:
‘Sir Alex did send the letter on September 6, 2012 in response to a letter from Dr Muscat,” the club’s director of communications said.’
What was in Joe’s letter? A plea for a ticket? Or did he beg for an endorsement?
Anyway, does Joe know that whilst he may have impressed some simple Man U supporters, he has at a stroke alienated all those who hate Man Ure.
He alienated many Man Utd fans too. The Malta supporters club has dissociated itself from Ferguson’s letter.
I’d just like to clarify: despite being a big Man U fan (inherited from our father, who was a personal friend of Sir Matt Busby and whose 32nd anniversary of his passing away is today), I always regarded Ferguson as a fraud whose record of under-achievement in European competitions shows the reality of his poor management skills.
With all the resources at his disposal, he only managed to win the CL twice – both by miracles. And he had over 20 attempts. Dr Muscat might look up to this gum-chewing hamallu/typical champagne socialist. I don’t.
I must admit seeing these two giants made me breathe easy.
And the roots are also giving us more seeing the up and coming Simon Busuttil. The way they came out waving to the crowds was magical.
Nahseb Ferguson hasbu Rooney lil Joseph, u ma tantx mar zmerc!
Id-differenza li Rooney hawwel ix-xahar, waqt li Joseph ghamillu il-gel.
Are these the same people who had Rodney Vassallo calling Ferguson the most corrupt person in football on One Radio about three months ago? Baffling.
Ahjar Joseph Muscat immur idur xi erba darbiet mal-ground.
Why bother about what Alex Ferguson has to say about Maltese politics?
I am a Manchester United fan but he is not going to tell me how to vote in my own country. I would like to think that we Maltese, whether Man U fans or ABUs, would not let ourselves be influenced in the remotest possible way by a man from Govan, on who we should choose to lead our country for the next five years. We are Maltese first and foremost.
It is a very well known fact that Ferguson has been a lifelong Labour supporter and that it was a British Labour government led by Tony Blair who put forward his name for knighthood when Man Utd won the treble in 1999.
This is what the The Record and The Mail had to say on Ferguson’s political views:
“Sir Alex has been a lifelong Labour supporter and was a shop steward in the shipyards, where he worked before becoming a professional footballer.
He added: “In most cases, and particularly in my case, your political views are formed by your parents’ ideology or the way they want to see you brought up.
“My father was a strong Labour man and my mother was Labour, too.”
That leaflet is not worth the paper it is written on. It would not influence one single vote in Malta’s general election.
“
Apologies for these comments. I was not aware you were at the police station. I thought writing after midnight was OK but If they create further problems for you simply ignore them .
Regards
Bestie
Sir Alex Ferguson : Is he the one from North of the border who mangles his English that you don’t understand a single word ?
