    Lord give me strength.

Wahda isbah minn ohra – u ghadhom ghaddew biss gimghatejn.

  2. Macchiavelli says:

There goes the 500 euro increase. A nice arrangement.

  3. Zunzana says:

    Veru li Malta TAGHHOM ilkoll!

    • C Falzon says:

For many (or most?) Laburisti ‘taghna lkoll’ is taken to mean ‘taghna l-Laburisti kollha’, being in contrast to the situation they percieve in the PN, that is that the PN government was for the select few of the PN klikka rather than all the Nazzjonalisti.

    • Gahan says:

      U Ghawdex tieghu biss!

  4. pitavu says:

Ara vera wicchom u x’imkien iehor xorta. Veru li Malta TAGHHOM biss!

  5. Maria Xriha says:

That must have come from the Socialist rule book on how to buffer against a recession.

  6. ciccio says:

    Maritokrazija.

  7. Wilson says:

In their little heads, they really think that the Nationalist government used to employ only Nationalists.

  8. TROY says:

Will the switchers get a job?

    • George says:

Of course! They already did. Look at JPO and Franco. Both cried shame on the 500 euro weekly increase and yet now both of them forgot what shame means because each of them is to be rewarded by Joseph Muscat a weekly figure exceeding the ‘shameful figure of 500’

  9. Paul says:

And even his best friends who don’t possess any decent qualifications.

  10. beingpressed says:

    Can you imagine this?

As from tomorrow everyone is allowed to bring their wife to work and demand employment for her.

Is this modern day socialism or just a fringe benefit?

  11. Nina says:

A little correction, she was already working with the state, now she has been shifted.

  12. paleblue my foot! says:

It just gets worse and worse and at an alarming pace.

  13. Tim Ripard says:

More detail needed, Daphne. How long has she been in this post? What was she doing before?

[Daphne – She moved in when her husband did, which means last week.]

    • Bebbuxu says:

Until some years ago she was working at the University of Malta branch in Gozo…have no idea what she was doing lately…

  14. clara says:

she’s been working with the civil over 20 years, she has been transferred to the ministry to carry her duties there

  15. mario says:

Ghax taf int, Malta taghna lkoll.

  16. Joseph Vassallo-Agius says:

    How cosy this is.

Now they are also going to change the Code of Ethics so that a Minister can also continue with his private business.

    • Grezz says:

Franco Debono too can continue with his private practice, apparently.

      • P Shaw says:

It is far more interesting and unethical if Manuel Mallia continues with his private practice. Which judge or magistrate will dare to be impartial in his clients’ regard?

  17. aidan says:

Jobs creation in Gozo. 13 (district) GUDAS.

  18. Pisces says:

Imagine if the PN were to do this. They would be torn to shreds by the media. I despair in this country.

  19. verita says:

As far as I know the Code of Ethics states that no minister can employ a relative at the ministry. Ghax allura din mhux arrogannza biss imma abbuz ta’ poter.

  20. My God, why are you surprised with Michelina working in the Ministry for Gozo? This is only the beginning. The big surprises are yet to come soon. Again, this is the will of the people.
