Let's bang on some more about 'Mrs Caruana Galizia' and make it bloody obvious to everyone that we've got a bit of an obsession

Let’s bang on some more about ‘Mrs Caruana Galizia’ and make it bloody obvious to everyone that we’ve got a bit of an obsession

First thing in the morning on March 10, Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando sent me a text message: IRRELEVANTI. I said to myself what a poor dolt he is, that his first thought on hearing the good news was not ‘celebrate’ but ‘send spiteful message to Daphne’, and how stupid he is to reveal his Sicilian mountain village motivation.

I didn’t bother replying by pointing out that my relevance comes from my readership, not the party in government, and that it is he who is now completely irrelevant while I had suddenly become more so.

I wonder how Carmen deals with the full extent of his fixated obsession with another woman. It must be really quite trying, given that she also has to cope with his vicious hatred for the mother of his children, knowing that the next five years are going to be a competition as to which one can spite the other more: Jeffrey running up the Auberge de Castille steps on the prime minister’s first day in the office to spite his ex wife who wasn’t invited; Marlene swanning around with her boyfriend the minister knowing it freaks her ex husband out because he never got to be a minister himself, and so on. My God, xi dwejjaq.

Not that I give a damn, of course, since I’m not a very small man with an extremely fragile ego and so relevance is irrelevant to me really, but he does need to have his drunken nose rubbed into it.

So instead I’ll just upload some of today’s news which I know he will read here. Firstmalta, an internet statistics site, has just released its research results on the top 10 search keywords used by people in Malta.

1. Nude

2. Teen

3. Free XXX

4. Facebook

5. Times

6. Maltatoday

7. OKMalta

8. Play

9. Daphne

10. Amazon

No Jeffrey. And no Franco, either. Tsk tsk. Time for some Earl Grey.

The description says that it ‘can be hanged in the dining room, or else to be hung on to the balcony during election times.’

    • Alexander Ball says:

Would Net TV display a range of disaffected Labour politicians, the same way One did with Dalli, Franco and so on?

Thanks for uploading that little PL clip earlier on, the one in which JPO is shown for his true colours – green politician of the year? So sad.

So the same party that worked hard to shred his credibility to bits just a few years ago now takes him into their fold…..well I never. Tsk. Tsk.

  10. Rita Camilleri says:

Well done Daphne – inharaq, Franco.

  11. betty says:

    excellent Daphne …you’re the queen!

  12. Qeghdin Sew says:

You do realise these stats are stupid, don’t you? Who the hell uses FirstMalta.com as their search engine?

[Daphne – They are not at all stupid, but tally with the country rankings on alexa: http://www.alexa.com/topsites/countries/MT ]

  13. First Malta says:

Stupid?! – why do people call anything that they don’t understand stupid?!

Anyway… let me explain…. Altough as you Daphne correctly pointed out, that the search results do compare with Alexa’s results. One has to state that Alexa’s results are not ‘search’ results.

Meaning that people go to a site such as google or youtube directly (by typing google.com or youtube.com) in the URL of their web browser. Whilst Search results are completely different it’s what you type in google.com (or http://www.firstmalta.com ! )

Regarding the comment… “who the hell uses firstmalta.com?” the website is being used mostly by people having an iPad or mobile browser when searching (once again note the distinction between ‘search’ and ‘direct url typing’) because the predominantely black background saves a lot of battery time!

There goes “qeghdin sew” hope that answers your question! now I have one for you… are these stats still stupid or do you perhaps feel less intelligent (to avoid using the same word you did!) ?
