Joseph Muscat must obviously have sent a memo with the heading “Laqa kordjali”.
You know, that was exactly the same thing that I was thinking. They seem to be prepared on what to say to the media.
Justyne’s coat would perfectly complement Jeffrey’s trousers, though he might have to take up the sleeves a little as he is shorter than she is.
Se jaghmilhom criemen tal-Awtoritajiet varji?
Ahjar minn daqqa ta’ harta.
Minn criecer ghal-criemen. Kullhadd b’xortih fid-dinja.
Silvio Parnis looks happy coming out of Castille.
I’ll bet he was put in charge of the new trailer park that is to be built in the south.
South Park or Southfork?
Since Silvio is a dead ringer for “Julian” then it has to be called “Sunnyvale Trailer Park” that will be located in the south.

Ah! and they thought they were all IN.

So this means that in addition to the huge cost of one of the largest cabinets ever, we are going to pay also for “buying off” the backbenchers.

Practically all the PL MPs responded “Kienet laqa’ kordjali…”
Meetings are only described as having been ‘cordial’ when the participants hold very divergent, or diametrically opposite viewpoints, such as between unions and employers discussing matters of serious dispute.
In other words, the meeting scenario was potentially explosive, but fortunately did not blow up in our faces, though the outcome still fell far short of expectations.
The only meeting that appears to have gone well was that involving Justyne wossername, who gave a normally worded reply to the interviewer.
Yes Min Jaf. It seems that JM has instructed these drop outs what to say and not to say to journalists.
Parnis? Chairman? Minn socju tal-muzew, ghal membru parlamentari? Cajta? Hmar il-Lejl? Le, Malta Taghna Lkoll.
X’ lahaq Silvio Parnis?
A special dedication to all those who chose IVA when Joseph Muscat chose LE. What were they thinking now when they voted him in?

Justyne can lose her seat if the PN appeals.

Joseph ma lahhaqha xejn ghax jaf li ghadha mdendla.
Welcome to the new Malta. A sunny place for shady people.
Ara fejnu tas-Swat
Justyne is the only one who didn’t have a ‘laqgha kordjali’.
Or was it laghaqa kordjali that the others had?
Chris Fearne, ‘mhux segretarju parlamentari OK? grrrrr’
Of the whole lot, probably Carmelo Abela deserved a cabinet position. My gut feeling is that he is much better than most members of the current cabinet.
[Daphne – Yes, I don’t know him at all, but there’s something about him that tells me he is probably a decent chap.]
I know Carm Abela very well. Though I do not agree with his political beliefs, I was very pleased that he was elected, and was sure that he will be given a cabinet post.
I am disappointed that he wasn’t given such a post. Of all the elected MLP candidates, I firmly believe that Carm is the most decent one of all.
I heard that when George Vella is kicked upstairs to the Presidential Palace, Carm Abela will take the Foreign Office.
Yes I can endorse these comments. Carmelo Abela is a real gentleman and yet Joseph Muscat leaves him out in the cold in favour of fossils and opportunists. Unbelievable.
I remember him as an altar boy at the Zejtun parish
I know Carmelo quite well. It is a pity that he is a Labour MP. Most probably he is the most decent chap of the government MPs and that is why Muscat failed to give him a cabinet position.
Abela is a righteous and unassuming humble person. He works at HSBC Centru Ruzar Briffa ,and every time I needed something from his side he was more than willing to help me in my work (contractor).
In Maltese we say “qaddis miexi fl-art”.
Which is probably the reason why he is going to be left out in the cold or, at best, given some kind of minor and meaningless appointment as a sop to those who voted him in.
I’m sure that a normal decent person would feel uncomfortable with the knowledge that she is sitting in parliament because of a mistake by the electoral commission – but what the heck, this is Justyne we’re talking about.
Jobs for all the boys and girls…and of course at taxpayers` expense. Kif ma` jisthux!
