timesofmalta.com has uploaded a report about the prime minister’s plans for fireworks factories without mentioning that the bulk of his income comes from the sale of chemicals and ancillary products to the manufacturers of fireworks.
This country is INSANE.

Konflit ta’ interess?
This is where Cyprus got to with Joseph Muscat’s approval.

Let’s hope that AgriBank does not have any ATMs and that it has excess cash. It wouldn’t want what is happening to the Cyprus banks happening here in a year or two.
If Joseph Muscat heeds the advice of people like Sandro Chetcuti – who had suggested that the banks have excessive liquidity and they should use it to support the property market – then a bank bailout may be necessary in 2 or 3 years.
An interesting point he mentioned is that if no applications are met, fireworks will still be made illegally.
Well can one ask why there are no controls on suppliers of the raw material to who they sell?
And since he is indirectly involved in this business, has anyone in his family been involved with selling the material to make illegal fireworks?
As a Roman emperor (I think it was Vespasian) is remembered for having famously said ‘Pecunia non olet’
(money does not smell of this one or that one).
With a prime minister who imports chemicals for fireworks, and a Minister of Health who is a licensed fireworks manufacturer, there ain’t much hope …
Joseph Muscat said he will consider permits for additional firework factories.
Of course he will. Doesn’t he and his family have a vested financial interest in the increased production of fireworks?
Bdejna hux u se nkomplu. L-kbir ghadu gej.
Ara jekk ikunx missier Joey stess li japplika ghal xi kamra tan-nar ohra ma li diga ghandu. Tal-biki hi. Alla jghinna. Nixtieq norqod u meta nqum jghiduli li se ssir elezzjoni generali.
Daphne, ipprova zomm rendikont tac-cucati u l-hmerijiet li qed jaghmlu tal-PL halli jkollna lista migbura u ma ninsew xejn.
And Muscat will be trying to give us the impression that the previous accidents/explosions of the fireworks factories were caused by neglegence and lack of safety regulations.
What about those fire materials/chemicals imported from China, sur PM?
When parliament opens, certain questions on this blog should be given to a PN MP to be asked in Parliament.
PQ carry a lot of weight and responsibility.
In the past the MLP was famous for ” not in the public interest” type of answer.
Can anyone make a gap analysis of the various portfolios of the ministers and parliamentary secretaries?
I cannot make heads or tails of any of this, but my feeling is that there are a few black holes and some common turf.
These guys said they were ready to govern months ago, and look at the confusion on the ground.
And the news was listed as Breaking News for a good 2 hours!
Interesting again that this topic, so blatantly related to self -interest, is what tops national priorities.
I wonder what will be less blatant and obvious, screened off by the privacy of his own office?
