I wonder what Middle Eastern Jeff has to say about this

Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando caught in the act of not following his own moral guidance and partying at a funeral.
Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando (Smith), who likes to think of himself as oh-so-very-British (hence the desperate attempts to tack his great-grandmother’s ‘Smith’ on as a third surname) spent years professing to be shocked all over Facebook and in parliament about the idea of partying on a politician’s grave – true son of Syria that he is.
I hope he’s taken note of everything that went on today in the north of England, instead of just concentrating on the events at St Paul’s.
The BBC reports:
Goldthorpe pit village ‘celebrates’ Margaret Thatcher’s funeral
An open coffin housing an effigy of Margaret Thatcher was paraded through the village
The funeral of Baroness Thatcher has been celebrated by residents of a village scarred by pit closures.
Banners and bunting were hung in Goldthorpe, South Yorkshire, in protest at her policies, as mourners gathered for the funeral at St Paul’s Cathedral.

Personally I think such an act would be in bad taste, but the fact that British society accepts that such impulses are, at least, understandable (it is rather undeniable that Thatcher’s local policies were necessary, but divisive) is commendable. But I wouldn’t expect JPO to understand if his greatest British aspiation is to gain a triple-barrel surname. Ah, well.
[Daphne – The proper word is distasteful, not ‘bad taste’. I’m a little tired of everyone banging on about things being in bad taste when what they actually mean to say is distasteful. A shocking pink headdress with peacock feathers is bad taste. Celebrating a death is distasteful (to some).]
Right, sorry. Got my words mixed up then.
Over here, the Tooth Fairy is seen decently celebrating the death of the Mistra disco development. With Earl Grey. Or maybe it was too Early?

Liverpool FC and Everton FC never forgave Thatcher for the way she handled the death of 96 Liverpool fans at Hillsborough. Maggie was accused of concealing the truth from the public. Imagine this happening at Ta’ Qali when Mintoff died.

I was in the dog-house for 6 months, and not entirely accepted back in the fold yet, for celebrating the death of an inglorious bastard of a father-in-law.
I fully intend to act in a similar fashion when the old witch of a mother-in-law kicks the bucket. although she seems eternal.
Blackadder would be proud of you .
