Isn’t this the most amusing picture?

Here’s David Cameron, sitting on the edge of his seat like a schoolboy being interviewed by the headmistress about what his career intentions might possibly be.

Look at the cups – his cup is carefully placed close to the centre of the table, like he’s afraid he’ll drop it and spill the contents all over her, hers is close to the edge, as if she couldn’t care.

Her posture, her expression, her clothes and how she holds herself, are all signs that indicate she was and will remain one of the best leaders the world has ever seen.

Nothing kills her confidence. The lady’s confidence is undisputable.

  2. aston says:

She made the observation that one of the problems, not just in Britain but around the world today, is that a lot of politicians think if they’ve made a speech, something has happened. She said the only thing that’s happened is they’ve made a speech.

  3. mattie says:

And her handbag, although small, speaks a thousand words.

She leaves it there on the floor, as if to make it clear to him that she wouldn’t like to waste time with people like Cameron.

Her bag is within reach for her to leave asap.

Kieku hemm Joseph Muscat flok David Cameron zgur ipixxi tahtu.

  5. manum says:

What a great amazing lady, she was admired to the extent that when Mr Gorbachov met her, he wanted her to be seen in the streets. He insisted that she met russians and spoke to her and shook hands with her. In the late 80’s there was this fright between east and west. Helmut Kohl found her wit irresistible. When she had leadership problems in her own party, all Europen leaders missed her and were in dismay when she was humiliated by her scheming collegues.

    brilliant

  7. ciccio says:

David Cameron inherited from the previous Labour government extreme challenges which he could transform into an opportunity to turn himself into a Prime Minister of the same stature as Thatcher.

Like Thatcher before him, he inherited a Great Britain crippled by debt and huge economic problems.

Thatcher had inherited a stagnant economy with high inflation and strong trade unions.

Cameron took over an economy on the verge of collapsing into a depression, with high unemployment, and a banking and financial system that had just been narrowly saved from total collapse, at the cost of taxpayer money.

For some reason, there seems to be an unwillingness to make Britain great once again. Pulling Britain out of the EU is not the solution.

    Poor Cameron.

I wonder whether he is wearing a nappy.

Taking tea with the most formidable female politician that ever lived would give any man plenty of butterflies in his stomach.

  9. joseph muscat says:

the witch maggie is rotting in hell together with right winged persons and paedophile priests

    • mattie says:

Paedophiles will always exist, as long as man will exist and does not become extinct.

Margaret Thatcher did not force priests into paedophelia.

Neither did she encourage paedophilia or promote it. Mentioning this as if she was part of the problems in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s and which still exist till today (and will never cease to exist), is sheer nonsense because paedophilia is a psychiatric condition.

    • PMic says:

What a sad pathetic specimen of a ‘human’ being you are JM, did the Great Lady ever touch your life? I lived in the UK during the whole of her premiership and have nothing but admiration for her in the way she brought Britain out of the dark ages and destroyed the stranglehold that the extreme left of the Unions had on all previous Labour governments.

She was a leader and a stateswoman, nothing was too big a challenge for her, respected around the world and feared by those who could not match her intellect, determination and work ethic. She was a Lady of our times the like of which will never be seen again, at least not in our lifetime. R.I.P. Baroness, the world is a better place for you having been here.

      • joseph muscat says:

PMic, then why don’t you go back in the UK and pray on her grave then. We don’t want any suckers here in Malta. Rejoice, the bitch is dead. Long live Socialism and left winged parties.

    • H.P. Baxxter says:

In hell, you say? Good. Then she can get Hitler, Himmler, Attila and Genghis Khan to gang up on Mintoff and give him a good kicking.

  10. J Abela says:

I wouldn’t blame him for acting like a schoolboy in front of her. He’s probably half the man she was! haha. May God bless him.

And I would understand his soft spot towards her. Many men (including myself, I admit) have a soft spot for strong, powerful female leaders like Margret Thatcher.

  11. anthony says:

PS. For balance the death has just been announced of yet another very great Briton this time round of the male sex :
    Bob Edwards.

    I salute him in awe.

I also thank him, in the name of many people I know, who owe him their happiness.

    • Harry Purdie says:

Totally agree. I have a loving nephew in Canada who, along with his wife, has just been rewarded with a gorgeous little daughter through his procedure.

On another note, although, not in the same venue, We have lost three female icons this week, Maggie, Lilly Pulitzer and Annette Funicello.

I used to rush home to see Annette on Disney TV, the ultimate mouseketeer.. As a young teen at the time, she got my hormones vibrating. Even loved her beach movies with Frankie Avalon.

When she contracted MS, she braved it out, began a MS foundation, and fought to the end.

May all these wonderful women rest in peace.

  12. Steve Forster says:

She was an icon, she saved the UK from the LibLab/Union mayhem of the 70s and for that reason alone she deserves a state funeral.

[Daphne – She didn’t want one, and specified that she did not.]

    • H.P. Baxxter says:

We, on the other hand, think we know better, and gave a state funeral to you-know-who and to that epitome of vulgarity Agatha Barbara.

  13. Harry Purdie says:

Loved this gutsy Lady. Where’s her hand bag?

Got one here also. Just as tough and just as uncompromising. Admired by all free thinkers.

  14. Izzie says:

What a great woman. She was unafraid and did not accept compromises.

  15. ciccio says:

David Cameron should buy himself a handbag.

    And so should Joseph Muscat.
