Malta is represented there by….Leo Brincat. I suppose Eddie Fenech Adami should have been asked by the government to go (you know, Malta Taghna Lkoll and all that), because after all, he was her contemporary in government, her guest at Downing Street, and actually knew her and dealt with her. So there would have been that personal touch which is so important on these occasions.

Leo’s swansong? The Environment has been wiped out of Gvern Gdid Immexxi Minni’s list of priorities.
That’s the trouble with Labour : They have not got any proper thinkers.
I prefer to watch it on Sky News.
A Richard Matrenza-free zone:

No inane commentary. Just moving pictures and atmospheric sound.
The program on TVM sucks big time…very biased and unfair comments!
[Daphne – You were probably watching those Laburisti Richard Matrenza and Alfred Griscti, so what do you expect. There are other guests now. Taf int – bilanc and all that.]
And the commentary on TVM is all anti-Thatcher, with Alfred Grixti and Richard Matrenza as the invited guests.

It’s on Euronews too.
The Queen and the Prince enter St. Paul’s Cathedral. They walk separately, not together. The Prince is two steps behind the Queen.
I still carry the taste of TVM in Mintoff’s time and haven’t watched it for years. Now its back to 1972 and all that.
Also I can’t stand the backchat during a live transmission – it impinges on the programme.
So I watched it on Euronews. Thank God for small mercies and the proliferation of TV stations – and thanks to PN for making it possible.
Why Leo? Se mai we should have sent Louis Grech as minister for EU affairs, or George Vella as Foreign Minister, or the PM should have gone himself.
I too couldn’t stand hearing the comments on TVM and switched to BBC.
