New Labour government appointees to the Public Broadcasting Services board: Super One denizen, friend-of-John-Dalli and GonziPN backstabber (sorry, Frank, but you really are) Frank Portelli; The Sunday Times columnist, AD activist, PN-hater, Vote-George-Get-Lorry placard-carrier and Gonzi-basher, the lawyer Claire Bonello, who also happens to be a close friend of and legal counsel to the racist Imperium Europa activist (and Norman Lowell’s girlfriend) Arlette/Letty Baldacchino; and fresh new 1970s Labour face Tony Cassar Darien.

And his daughter is a PBS employee. Does that amount to conflict of interest?
She dropped the ‘Darien’.
She’s the one who irks me when she smiles while reading some bad news, and when she says “Persentagg tal-Umdita” while reading the relative humidity in the weather forecast.
She THINKS she’s popular.

I wouldn’t waste bandwidth space on this rubbish if I were you, Daphne.
I like Dr Frank Portelli. Always said what had to be said. Maybe if the P.N had heeded him they would not have lost so heavily.
[Daphne – Oh come off it, Silvio. The man couldn’t even run his own hospital, and then he had the nerve to hector the prime minister on how he should run the country. And then at the end we discovered what it was all about: getting the government to buy his hospital. Contract’s off, cue a tantrum on Super One. Contract’s on again, cue end of tantrum. How I wish I’d known that earlier. Il-vera arukaza.]
And his car number plate is 2 B FRANK. X’antipatija ta’ nies.
X’imbarazz, jaqq.
Joseph Muscat is proving his sceptics wrong.
Joseph is honest when he says that division due to political beliefs is a thing of the past.
To Joseph being PN or PL is of no concern and he admits to having both PN and PL sympathizers within his family.
Joseph is truthful when he states that the blue and the red are a thing of the past and he treats everyone in the same manner irrespective of political party background.
What matters to Joseph is whether you are with Joseph or not. That’s the new benchmark.
That’s the new dividing factor.
Frank Portelli se jiccara l-pozizzjoni mal-PN dwar il-kariga , bhal m’ghamel Michael Falzon?
Certain traitors and backstabbers like Frank Portelli come really cheap unless there is something more than meets the eye.
On the other hand, Michael Falzon’s recent appointment…….
If I’m not mistaken St. Philip’s Hospital wasn’t sold to the government because Joseph & Co apposed to Frank Portelli’s request.
Will Frank be capable to oppose and critisize the government should the need be after being given such an appointment at the PBS?
[Daphne – No, the Labour Opposition did not oppose it. There were other reasons it fell through.]
Better late than never. At least this election defeat should get rid of any remaining turncoats.
A word of warning, though. Any of the aspiring candidates for the NP top job, should stop short of declaring openly that the PN should be open to everybody. Yes it should, but NOT to those three and now Frank Portelli and their ilk.
Anyone who back-stabs once is apt to do it again and again since their ego is never satisfied.
These people burned their bridges to the Party and therefore they should not be helped rebuilding something they had capriciously destroyed themselves.
