Who would have thought that Yana Mintoff’s Facebook page would be a source of fascinating news?

She put this up today:

Mintoff Ghada, Mintoff, Malta u L-Unjoni Ewropea by Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici u Sammy Meilaq

A great read, interesting pictures, and the message is timely. Will be publish soon

I can’t wait. A book about Mintoff, Malta and the European Union, by his fellow travellers in the CNI (campaign for national independence), Sammy the boss of the Malta Drydocks and former PM KMB.

The message is timely, she says. Damn right. The irony just slips past Yana.

    Another book about Mintoff.

Please let the man rot peacefully in hell.

I hate these musical chairs because there was a change in government. Fredrick Mifsud Bonnici was not a public figure, but on the other hand we know from his opinion pieces that Cassar White is Labour-leaning.

Chalmers was not a political appointee and Mifsud Bonnici replaced him when he resigned after the tragic death of his son.

I fear for the worst where shareholders are not treated with respect.

Oh, but Evarist wouldn’t know that Chalmers wasn’t a political appointee. He’s been at it for over three years.

Someone will get their job at the MFSA. Edward Scicluna better watch his back. Before they cause more damage.

      • Gahan says:

MFSA will have Paul watshisname who ran a campaign on the mis-selling of the BOV Vilhena Property Funds.

      • Sowerberry says:

Gahan : Poacher turning into gamekeeper at MFSA, then. Conflict of interest, anyone ?

      • SOH says:

And his ex-boss – Alfred Mifsud as Central Bank Governor?

      • Jar Jar says:

I can’t imagine what the PL faithful will make of having Paul Bonello turn up as chief of the Malta Financial Services Authority – his ex-colleagues at Mid Med remember him very well, both as a worker and as a director.

    • Joseph Muscat's Economic Growth says:

BOV shareholders and customers should make their voice heard. In the AGM, and in the media.

No political interference with our banks.

The MLP developers and financers need hefty and quick unsecured loans.

Will it include the ‘Saviour’s’ poking of his brother’s sister?

    Sorry, wife.

  8. Danton says:

I can’t understand this Sammy Meilaq person and his anti-EU stand.

A few years ago I had the opportunity to encounter him and his wife professionally. He said he had a daughter who is an MD and working abroad in some classy London hospital whilst preparing for her post grad.

If my memory serves me right, he also referred to a younger son who was also in the medical course, whilst his wife bragged about her husband’s contacts abroad and how he will be able to find a posting abroad for him as well for his post grad once he graduates.

I prefer Pace’s ‘Microstate Security’ myself. Gives an interesting picture of what Mintoff wanted out of Europe and how Europe responded to his actions in Malta. Does admittedly lack interesting pictures, though.
