Right now I’m reporting on elections for let’s-build-a-socialist-generation Xandir Malta, but when I’ve got my bus pass I’m finally going to be finance minister and embarrass my country with my Vietnam-era thoughts and views.

He’s my ray of hope, at least our finances aren’t being managed by some freak.
The mistake he did was when as finance minister he accepted the different (crushing) treatment Cyprus got for its bailout. As Dr Gonzi rightly pointed out , other countries were being considered as “too big to fail” and were treated differently.That was not fair on us also.
Staying awake till five in the morning watching history unfold in front of your tired eyes, is not enough Edward, you were there to see to it that Cyprus was treated fairly.

Having a look at that photo, I swear i thought it could have been Christopher Walken out of True Romance, who also played a Vietnam vet in that movie, incidentally.
If I were to put words to the facial expression of Lagarde I would put ‘who the f***k is this one?’
