Well, that’s cute

Sabrina Agius

Sabrina Agius, the RTK journalist with whom Joseph Muscat, when he was Opposition leader, had a flirty exchange of emails, telling her not to leave RTK and look for another job because she is useful to him there (“Shall I try and get into The Times?”), and who was then sacked when this exchange was discovered, has been given the job of communications coordinator in the secretariat of parliamentary secretary Roderick Galdes.

  1. Harry Purdie says:

Don’t you just love these ‘coordinator’ jobs? No responsibility, no authority, no respect. Just MONEY.

You did well, chickie. Keep the grin.

    • Eddy Privitera says:

Check how many officials who had been working in the ex-PN ministers’ secretariats, were given indefinite and definite contracts with Kunsill Nazzjonali ghal-li Sport, on the eve of the election !!!!!

  2. edgar says:

So here we have ample proof that a trusted employee double-crossed her employer and with such a CV gets a job of communications coordinator in the secretariat of Roderick Galdes.

Watch out Mr. Galdes, you might be the next one.

  3. ciccio says:

As a ‘plant,’ where else could they put her if not in the Ministry for Agriculture?

  4. Makjavel says:

She will do Joseph’s bidding, and not Roderick’s.

  5. Maria says:

    Malta taghna lkoll.

  6. brimba says:

As someone named Emmy Bezzina would say : Crieki, go crieki, go crieki, on a TV programme named Parlament tal-Poplu –

  7. canon says:

So Sabrina Agius didn’t make it as the youngest Minister in Joseph Muscat’s Cabinet.

  8. Pinturicchio says:

Another former Super One journalist has been given his reward. Well, in actual fact, he’s probably done a “Briguglio”, as I was under the impression that he supported AD.

Parliamentary Secretary for Research, Innovation, Youth & Sport
    Dr Stefan Buontempo B.A. Arch., F.C.I.O.B., F.A.S.I., M.R.I.C.S., Ph.D., M.P.

    Head of Secretariat

    Mr Alessandro Mangion

  9. Maria Xriha says:

Next, on to another reward: that to Fiorella, the daughter of Labour candidate Ellul Mercer, who himself was hopeful for a MEPA outskirts development permit.

Contacted by OPM to take on the post of consultant on the ‘tablets business,’ she was offered this position on the over-riding qualification (former employee of Microsoft) that she is on record in their files as “Malta taghna.”

Let’s have another look at Joseph’s meaningful pre-election empty words:

“A future Labour government would base itself on meritocracy not mediocrity, as at present. This would be a government based on a movement which went beyond the limits of a traditional political party.”

“Political and economical monopolies have ended. We need to open up and give this country a democracy which is based on meritocracy, where you succeed in life not by the people you know but on your own abilities”

“It is not possible to have a credible manifesto if you do not have clear and credible principles.”

“We need a prime minister who is more preoccupied with his country than with his party.”

“We will give the opportunity to individuals and companies with genuine information on political corruption to come forward with the details.”

    “Labour would root out corruption.”

“Under a Labour government politicians would be held to account for their actions.”

Difficult to see how they are going to root themselves out.

It is going to be interesting to see how this malignant cancer in advanced form is going to be able to operate in any way other than sub-normal and sub-standard.
