Will Jose Herrera please clear up the matter of Doreen Tal-Fjur’s apparent new job at the Manoel Theatre?

The Parliamentary Secretary for Culture, Jose Herrera, has a particularly ardent canvasser and ‘family friend’ called Doreen Tal-Fjur/Minn Qiegh il-Belt/Sciberras.
She is seen in these photographs with the Culture PS’s sister, Magistrate Herrera, at the magistrate’s birthday party.
Now the word is out that Doreen, who has had a longish career as a shop assistant in various Valletta boutiques, has a new job at the Manoel Theatre, which falls within Jose Herrera’s portfolio.
Perhaps he would be kind enough to let us know whether this is indeed the case, and if so, how it came to pass, what Doreen tal-Fjur is doing exactly, and what she is paid.

This is almost as ridiculous as the “pigs at the feeding trough ” action of my two favourite Labourites.

Perhaps they needed someone to look after the costumes department.

While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old farmer, whose hand was caught in the squeeze gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation… Eventually the topic got around to our government members and their role as our leaders.
The farmer said, “Well, as I see it, most of them are ‘Post Turtles’.”
Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a ‘post turtle’ was.
The farmer said, “When you’re driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that’s “a post turtle.”
The farmer saw the puzzled look on the doctor’s face so he continued to explain.
“You know he didn’t get up there by himself, he doesn’t belong up there, he doesn’t know what to do while he’s up there, he’s elevated beyond his ability to function, and you just wonder what kind of dumb arse put him up there to begin with.”
Best explanation I’ve heard yet.
Manuel Mallia fits the description both physically and metaphorically

Was she sponsored by lonely Kenneth?
If Doreen Tal-Fjur/Minn Qiegh il-Belt/Sciberras is now toiling at the Manoel Theatre, she might well be sharing a desk with Kennit Zammit Tabona who will undoubtedly keep her amused with endless tales of Mummy’s shenenigans with Indian house boys and total trivia about Maltese aristocratic families. Oh joy! The poetic justice of it all!

What a shoddy excuse for government. Makes you sick to the stomach.
Are these just doing everything out of spite?
