Actually the prime minister thinks that he will rise to the occasion.
The prime minister seems to always justify his decision with this very well rehearsed line, rise to the occasion.
Pray, minister, what happens when they don’t rise to the occassion?
Actually what will happen is that they will make mistakes pretty much in the same way the prime minister is doing, given, that as expected, muscat has not risen to the occassion. May I go so far as to say he has tripped and fallen at each step over these last two months.
There’s David Felice and the Team to blame if things go wrong.
I bet that one of the cultural occasions will be a performance of GENSNA in the open air theatre.
In the audio clip, Muscat is so concentrated arranging the bullshit that he does not notice he says V28 instead of V18. How tedious he has already become.
[Daphne – Well, I thought that too and was about to write a post about it, but played back the clip repeatedly until I worked out that what he actually said was Valletta Twenty Eighteen, but his enunciation is so poor that yes, it sounded like Twenty Eight.]

The scene is reminiscent of the 22 year old Princess Margaret leaning across to her father’s equerry Peter Townsend and brushing a speck of dust from his jacket……….one wonders really………..
Privitera was all over the comments board on this one, as usual. Sad, bitter old man – even now ‘they have the power’.

So the prime minister believes Jason will rise to the occasion…maybe from past experience he knows that Jason always rose’ to the occasion and never disappointed him.
A journalist asked Muscat “X’kellu nieqes Felice li ghandu Jason?”.
No satisfactory reply was given.
