Can anyone identify this man?

Somebody has sent in (all right then, a member of my international worldwide network of spies) these photographs of the new head of the civil service and secretary to cabinet, long-time GWU man Mario Cutajar, dining a deux with an associate, at the Odyssey in Marsalforn last Saturday, and plotting away.
Does anybody recognise the other man (the one on the left)?

Health Minister Godfrey Farrugia might help although I was told that like many other Ministers and Junior Ministers, he is being kept busy with the ‘transfer’ market’.
Claudio Tonna is the guy here. He is the brother of Mark Tonna, who I believe was mentioned recently in the news for some Taghna Lkoll appointments.
The website here says that Claudio “performs live every evening at the Gateway Diner” with Elton Zarb – scroll down towards the bottom, with picture. Elton is the son of Toni Issa Daqshekk Zarb.

I think you already mentioned Claudio Tonna in previous articles. He is Mark Tonna’s (the singer) brother and some sort of distant relative to the Health Minister.

He is chief of staff of health minister. Guess they were discussing some more transfers.
You said it right, plotting away. He has been plotting his strategy since 2006 as his original target for action was 2008, so in 2013 he is 5 years behind on his plan. He must be extremely frustrated about this.

He is Marlene Farrugia’s cousin. his brother is singer Mark Tonna both employed recently in the health department together with Rita Grima another of Marlene’s cousins all from Zurrieq. All blood brothers.

Claudio Tonna is a brother of Mark Tonna, working in the family ministry aka Godfrey and Marlene Farrugia.
Claudio Tonna is from Zurrieq, a hard-line Labourite and Marlene Farrugia’s (formerly Pullicino Orlando) cousin.
He is now Godfrey Farrugia’s head of secretariat. He was known for being in the band The Red Arrows in Zurrieq, and I believe he got a Job from Karmenu Vella in the pre ’87 days as some kind of clerk in the public works department.
He is known as Claudio tal-Girna. He is not a bad sort really, just a lifelong Laburist.

At least one thing is certain. This present set-up will no longer be able toblame the Nationalist employees for the gaffs of the present government. It is all in the family and they will and must only blame themselves. What is positive, is that this blog is now more interesting than before the elections.
