What’s wrong with that?
Did you notice that, so far, Manuel Mallia made the most political gaffes in his relative short time as a politician.
You can start counting his gaffes before the general election when he threatened PN secretary-general Paul Borg Olivier with prison.
On becoming a Minisister he requested the resignation of the Broadcasting Authority members, which he has no right to do as they are protected by the Constitution.
He announced the prisoners’ amnesty when he gathered them in the prison ground and celebrated with them, embracing the prisoners.
He was present at interviews for the Security Services (most shocking of all).
Having the Police Corps offer catering services to the delegates of the European Broadcasting Union is but the latest.
Is the government really this unbelievably stupid, or are they trying to create opportunities to provoke the need for the use of force against eventual protest crowds?
Were these same members present at the EBU reception?
Imagine David Cameron sitting down at table interviewing prospective applicants for MI5 or MI6. Or Obama selecting from a group of applicants for CIA or NSA. Victor Meldrew comes to mind ” I DON’T BELIEVE IT “.
