    Delightful.

Everything looks lovely – I am drooling over the nero di seppia pasta dish.

    Very well done, as always.

Not related to this subject, but I want to comment on your article in The Malta Independent today.

Adolf Hitler became Chancellor with the help of millions of Germans. Today only a handful of Germans think Hitler was good for their country. So please tell Simon that 36,000 can be wrong.

Like you Daphne, I am irritated when I hear Simon and Mario apologizing for the Gonzi administration.

Gonzi sacrificed his health for this country and brought billions of euros for Malta. People voted the way they did because a lot of them did not remember the awful Labour years and wanted a change. Or they remembered them and thought that Labour had somehow changed into a competent party.

It is about time Simon starts telling the public why our standard of living is better now thanks to the Gonzi administration.

I don’t like Muscat’s policies one iota, but he is certainly a crafty man. Frankly, I don’t think Simon is going to cut it.

Frankly, I think, Simon will make it.

    • Allo Allo says:

Yes, but there were times when Gonzi argued that he doesn’t care about losing votes on certain issues.

In the grand scheme of things there is a limit to how often you can apply this argument, otherwise you would be winning a battle but losing a war.

      • H.P. Baxxter says:

Which issues? Divorce? There was just one issue and that was it, and it was the stupidest issue too.

On everything else, he was just votehunting among that demographic that will never vote for him.

This is what I call good taste.

  4. Ketchup says:

In my next life, I shall marry a chef.

  5. bookworm says:

That wedding cake looks really unique, and I’m in love with that cake stand.

[Daphne – Palazzo Parisio; beautiful wedding cakes.]

  6. ciccio says:

Thank goodness for these Taste posts. They really give me an appetite.

  7. Salvu tat-te says:

    Excellent magazine.

Suggestion : Can one of your chefs contribute with the correct recipe / way of making an iced bun ?

    • Guzi says:

That’s the easiest recipe, though it has now to wait for at least five years.

Just make sure that you appear on a PL billboard, you do not even have to be photogenic (there were Fredereick Testa and Gauci Cunningham).

  8. Noel Zarb says:

    WOW! Beuatiful!
