The picture was taken at the Office of the Prime Minister’s stall at the Malta Trade Fair.

Trade Fair at MFCC, while the government’s pavillion was being set up.

    Tal-misthija!

    “U fl-ewwl mitt gurnata, tghidx kemm thanzirna…”

  4. Randolph says:

That’s part of the enormous stand which the government of Malta has set up at the Trade fair in Ta’ Qali.

  5. Yanika says:

The government stand, just at the entrance to the ‘tinda’ of MFCC, was just a passage as not anyone stopped to see the videos on the screen. The tables with leaflets on them, telling us to give our suggestions to the government, were used to dump litter on, as evidenced in the picture. Oh, and this despite the colour red being sacrificed for the colour blue on all the stands.

  6. Min Jaf says:

Little Big Brother (the Really Big Big Brother runs the show from behind the screen)

  7. puh-lease says:

I actually meant there was one big screen on each side not two.

Is this the beginning of Ma(u)lSoc? (Orwell)

  9. Mark says:

    “Listen to the PM speak.
What a relief, what a change from that Bicca ex-President tal-Azzjoni Kattolka.
What a difference to that political picayune, now leader of a bankrupt party: dak il Patrun tal-Berdin Xering.

We reiterate our stand and advise the PM:
Avoid Veto as much as you possibly can.
Implement Push Back: refuse to pick up the floating, Black garbage when they next arrive.

When We, of Imperium Europa will be in Brussels in 2014 –
we will give our PM strong support from there.
Malta will save both Europe and all Europids.

    To say it all.
    The skip is full now.

  11. anthony says:

    Not that captain’s lamp again.

The mess in the foreground must be either the make-up tray or the tip of the skip.

  12. Volley says:

It seems to me that no one is taking notice of him (l-Imperatur)

  13. puh-lease says:

Is this kind of thing usually paid from public funds? If it is, shouldn’t they have tried to keep the cost as low as possible?

Wouldn’t have one cubicle to host a suggestion box been enough instead of 5? Why 2 big screens? wasn’t one huge image of our podgy PM enough? Did we HAVE to have 2 moving pictures of Tweedledum greet us at the entrance? I would rather this government spent a few thousands on proper catering than €22,000 on this propoganda.

  14. Plotinus says:

    I just love this.

It’s exactly the picture I have in my mind when I come across a photo of a Labour mass meeting – empty containers cheering on a bully beef.

  15. Liberal says:

Very symbolic. Fascists (the trash) listening to their leader.
