Hardcore China 1972 – and ignorance in Malta was so great that people couldn’t see what was coming next

Interesting to see that Mintoff was under Lorry Sant’s thumb already in 1972. Why did he take him of all people on that big trip?

The others would probably have sold their grandmother for the chance to tag along, but Lorry Sant was the chosen one. I’m guessing he was just the prettiest boy. Or maybe he already had those pictures.

Keep his enemies close to him, so that they won’t do what Mintoff did to PM Boffa while the latter was on an official visit in London.

Maybe Mintoff wanted Lorry Sant to be as far away from his home as possible so that Mintoff could send someone at night to ‘steal’ those photos from Sant’s computer?

But then Lorry Sant kept his photos in a brown envelope, not on the hard drive of a computer…

This is like Saint Joseph crossing over to Egypt in a Landrover.

In 1972 (?) the only computer in Malta was at Barclay’s Bank (which became Mid Med to be sold by Dalli for peanuts to HSBC)which processed simple data.
There were no PC’s in Malta in those years.

Who were the other Maltese persons in the video?

[Daphne – Lorry Sant, Mintoff’s secretary Joe Camilleri, and the other bears a distinct resemblance to somebody I remember, but I won’t say who just in case it isn’t him.]

Playing the national anthem while a 70 year old man undresses. Yup, Malta l-ewwel u qabel kollox.
