John Dalli may have gone to the Bahamas to sell a Sargas plant, WHEN HE WAS EU COMMISSIONER

Basically, this was round about the time he was campaigning with the Labour Party and on Super One television to sell Malta a Sargas plant.
Dalli was, by his own admission (though he says not when he was EU Commissioner or a Maltese cabinet minister) in the pay of Sargas as a consultant.
What does this sound like to you? In Malta Today (of all places):
Dalli, who told the Herald that he was given voluntary advice on a philanthropic initiative with Africa as its target continent, said that in the Bahamas he talked about “an innovative cheap power generation that would be very useful to be used in the project.“

To think that this character could have become our prime minister.
He never had a chance. Gonzi was always the favourite in that race.
Pull the other one. He went there to hide Libyan money.
Libyan money? Have another go.
He went there to gain money, otherwise why would he bother?
There was some commission in the middle. John Dalli surely loves his money and with the money he has hoarded he probably bought the Labour Party and Saviour Balzan. But then again, Saviour might be doing all this out of love.
Red herring.
But if he was discussing Sargas’s powerstation, then he was talking about USD 1 billion, not 100 million.
