Mrs Harrison’s husband has one of her iced buns
There’s been a rather nice consolation iced bun for Neil Harrison, an assistant commissioner in the police force, after he failed to get the one he wanted when it went to Manuel Mallia’s pet, Peter Paul Zammit.
Harrison is married to Labour billboard girl and ‘I give witness for Joseph’ speaker, Audrey Harrison, who has got quite a nice iced bun for herself, having been given a comfortable and undemanding job in the MEPA’s PR office, when she was a case officer before.
Neil Harrison has been moved to the Visa section on secondment with the civil service.
This means that in eight months’ time he will be eligible for a police pension, having served the required 25 years, and a public service salary as director-general, which is scale 4.

Please mote that Mr Harrison, being an Assistant Police Commissioner, is atrady in Scalr 4.
[Daphne – The point here is not that he has been moved up a salary scale but that he will collect his police pension while still collecting his scale 4 pension.]
You mean his scale 4 salary.
Outrageous.
don’t worry, once he finishes his LL.D., he’ll probably start his own legal practice, or team up with Labour colleagues.
If it’s director general then it is scale 3.
If his ambition was to become Commissioner of Police, he will never be satisfied and happy with what they give him. However this does not mean that he will not grab as much as as he can get.
It’s a lovely living wage he’ll be getting.

And the (in)famous Times of Malta before the elections, in one editorial article almost ridiculed Simon Busuttil because he said that in less than a year Joseph Muscat’s politics will head us straight into the wall just like Greece.
It seems that Simon Busuttil has foresight, like his predecessor – the great ex-Prime Minister and ex-PN Leader – Dr Gonzi.

Our government is nothing more than a PR machine trying to capitalise on anything. How sad and humiliating to be represented with such fake figures. I am having an identity crisis.
