His accent and enunciation are truly painful, and he even has a great deal of trouble pronouncing ‘circumstantial’, but if you can stick it through, you’ll find yourself wondering by the end why this man goes to such great lengths to stick his neck out for a crook.
It’s because he doesn’t believe he’s a crook. But even so, why do it?

When the media defend politicians I doubt what the role of the media actually is in our mini empire.
So Saviour Balzan falls under “Independent Media?” That big fib appeared before the talk re Dalli actually started.
So. Very. Unconvincing. Comes across as a Southern Mediterranean middle-man.
So nice to see Malta aligning itself with countries of impeccable repute like Rumania. It seems that Mr Severin himself is squeaky clean, just like Dalli.
What is great is that the EU offers the opportunity for great minds like this to have valuable air time in the name of “protection of innocents?”
Kieku hu “ma jergax jimmilita fuq quddiem biex nidhlu fl-Ewropa”… ahna iva Sur Balzan… kieku l-kelma tieghek bhala messaggier tax-Xejn ma kenitx tkun stmata daqs ta’ haddiehor Brussel!
What … 2 hrs 17 mins?! Sorry life is too short.
Madonna, how can you stick through all of this?
Maybe Dalli is Balzan’s sugar daddy.
When the shit hits the fan, watching Saviour Balzac wriggling his way out would be just fun to watch.
Who knows maybe he’ll also write a book about Dalligate
Who is the guy in black? He’s chewing gum and acting like a young teenager when he realises that the camera is filming him.
I am sure he does not do it for simple adulation. Either he has no choice in order to earn his salary, or there must be a bigger reward.
“In 2011 the European Parliament opened a formal investigation into alleged corruption by Severin and two other MEPs.[4] The Romanian politician insisted he had done nothing that was “illegal or against any normal behavior”. Mr. Severin is accused of accepting bribe in exchange for initiating some law amendment.[5] Subsequently, he was called by the Leader of the SD Group in the European Parliament to resign. As he refused, he was suspended from his position as Deputy-Leader of the SD Group and needed to leave this Parliamentary Group.” Wikipedia.
Birds of a feather…
Mr. Balzan has no idea about what is and what serves as ” evidence” in a court of law. What a load of rot. Why does’nt Dalli pay for a real lawyer to represent him at these parties.
What does Saviour plan to do now? Go to the Bahamas to discredit Mr. Barry Connor?
He can always lodge at our Johnny’s seaside shack.
By any chance, does Malta Today happen to be on the list of charitable organisations for which John Dalli makes any voluntary contributions?
Compare and contrast the stance taken by Martin Schulz, then leader of the PES parliamentary group and present president of the European Parliament with regards to the Severin case and the stance taken by Hannes Swoboda, Schulz’s successor as head of the PES parliamentary group with regards to Claudette Abela Baldacchino who is accused of defrauding E.U. institutions.
What Schulz says is also applicable to Dalli after the allegations made by Sweden Match.

Fascinating stuff for any psychiatrist. You feel at once revolted, angry, disbelieving and sad. And yet…so many chose to believe this crap.
Hadt ma jaghmel xejn ta’ xejn.
Go to 26:00, unf** believable, after years complaining of ethical standards and culture of resignation he now has the cheek to say Malta has higher ethical standards than Brussels. Ethical standards were raped by the new government since day one, Saviour – you are incredible.
