Using John Dalli’s Portomaso address, Tyre Ltd claims to have annual revenue of up to USD50 million, when its financial statement shows that it is technically insolvent

Published: July 8, 2013 at 12:01pm

The only financial statement which Tyre Ltd has filed with Companies House since its incorporation in February 2011 shows that it is technically insolvent (on paper), with liabilities outstripping assets, borrowings of Eur500,000 and relatively negligible revenue.

Yet it has no qualms about advertising itself on trade directories as having annual revenue between US$10 million and US$50 million, while flaunting John Dalli’s Portomaso address.

Will someone tell the Dalli clan that the postcode has changed?

    STJ 4014

You know what a hassle it is to update all the records of the companies he’s got registered on that address!

Is Maltapost doing it on purpose ?!

Incorporated in 2011, dealing in water and food for humanitarian relief and with unspecified links to the Carribean.

Somehow takes me to the mess in Haiti when gold and commodities traders got their hands on prices of food to be delivered as aid on behalf of foreign governments.

The IMF had dictated a free market onto the relief process, progress and liberty they called it.

Early 2011 was speculation at its worst.

After all, he was the commissioner who would have been responsible in part for the EU’s bit.

Oh, yes! And we like to help the people in Africa. We send in the odd SMS when the Mission Fund telethon is running. Always good to put a smile on the face of a picaninny or two, especially when promised that the picaninny will be converted to Christianity in exchange for food and lodging.

Shouldn’t the police be asking whereall this money came from?

Maltese Prime Minister does not take questions from journalists and avoids them altogether.

The main item in Maltese news right now are the developments revealed on this blog about the Dalligate affair.

What are you hiding, Mr. Prime Minister?

  6. Connections says:

According to his LinkedIn profile, John Dalli is the
Commissoner (as opposed to “Commissioner”) Health and Consumer Affairs at European Commission, Brussels Area, Belgium.

    False advertising or wishful thinking?

I was also surprised to learn, through LinkedIn, that Mr Dalli is a graduate of the Malta College of Arts Science & Technology where, it appears, they teach everything but the “know-your-client” rules.

“We are also deal in commoditieslike food, water, beef, canned food, etc. for humanitanian relief”.

Relief business is big business. (Original mistakes included in copy and paste of “company profile”)

That description says that there are 11 to 50 employees.

    Where and who are they?

Tyre Ltd. What’s with the name? A commercial vessel to keep him afloat (financially) when he’s drowning in shit/? A bit like a rainy day fund for us common mortals but running in the millions. Because “that’s how he operates”.
