Belgium has shut down its embassy in Malta, saying that this is part of a worldwide cost-cutting exercise. Meanwhile, it’s an open secret that the Maltese government has been planning to dispatch the raddled Super One star and Labour mass meeting master of ceremonies, Ray Azzopardi, to Belgium as our new ambassador there.

We also sadly have a number of people applauding the prime Minister for his actions and stating that Simon Busuttil as an MEP and part of the PN government failed to address the migrants issue in previous years.
Nonetheless, no one is mentioning the fact that the Labour Party had the majority of MEPs representing us in the European Parliament (3 and lately 4 seats), and to my knowledge none of them did anything concrete towards the irregular migration issue in all these years either.
Brilliant point.
Kulhadd espert.
Bil-banana baqa miskin.
Maybe that is why the Belgians are closing their embassy down ….. The financial situation is just an excuse.
Is this one way for Belgium to tell us not to send them diplomatic garbage?
Is there anything more tragic than unrequited love?
