Yet another Taghna Lkoll update: the Prison Appeals Tribunal, appointed by the Minister of Police Bikinis

Published: July 26, 2013 at 10:28pm

In the Government Gazette today:

PRISON APPEALS TRIBUNAL

IT is hereby notified for general information that the Minister for Home Affairs and National Security has approved the Prison Appeals Tribunal in terms of Regulation 79 (1) of the Prison Regulations (SL 260.03), with effect from 26th July, 2013, be constituted as follows:

Chairman
Dr Steven Farrugia Sacco, B.A., LL.D.

Members
Dr Andrè Borg, B.A., LL.D.
Mr Joseph Cassar Naudi
26th July, 2013

Steven Farrugia Sacco is Judge Lino Farrugia Sacco’s son. Lino Farrugia Sacco is part of the Consuelo Herrera/Manuel Mallia/Etc/Etc Evil Click. He is also a brother to Labour politician David Farrugia Sacco. Besides the Taghna Lkoll angle, there’s another problem. Should somebody whose father sends people to prison be chairing the Prison Appeals Tribunal?

Andre Borg’s father is the Labour politician Reno Borg, who is one of this government’s appointees to the Broadcasting Authority.

It’s all getting rather cosy.

Thanks for pointing this out Daphne.

Keep them coming, and don’t wait until the Commissioner for Simplification and Reduction of Bureaucracy decides to eliminate the Government Gazette altogether, so as not to have all the details out too early.

They would probably rather have a ‘need-to-know’ culture here.

Does Andre Borg still live in Malta?

  3. Min Jaf says:

Cosy for the Taghna Lkoll crowd maybe, but certainly getting much too hot for the rest of the people

  4. Andrea Borg says:

This isn’t such a surprise for us. We have witnessed one of the most utterly stupid labour government from his predecessors. I can’t understand how you can turn completely against what you said after such little time in power. The darkest 5 years for Malta are yet to come!
