‘Dora the Yorkie’ police attack: an update
This comment came in this morning from a woman who helped Ms Scicluna during the ‘Yorkie’ incident at Qawra. The woman in question was away from Malta in the interim and missed the debate on this website, but is catching up now.
She wrote her comment in reference to Union press journalist John Pisani’s article written in defence of the police officers’ behaviour, which was uploaded on this site.
This article makes the police sound like the heroes when in reality, when Ms Scicluna started to have a fit and faint they all backed away and let me and another two life guards try to help her onto the bed while she was fitting strongly and was completely out.
I really wish this point comes across strongly to all those who think the police tried to remedy their mistake.
Also anther thing needs to be pointed out: of the four police officers, only two were extremely rude and rough, so not to blame those who had nothing to do with the incident.

While everyone moans about the buses, this is happening… http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20130828/local/more-people-registering-for-employment.483875
‘of the four police officers, only two were extremely rude and rough’
This is a reflection of Malta roughly divided down the middle on anything, be it politics, religion, village feasts, hunting, the weather, right down to two people discussing.
The only place Maltese seem to share is the middle of the road when driving.
That makes it a mere 50 % of the representatives of the force for law and order present were actually rude and rough – a very consoling thought.
It would be interesting to know if any one of them is trained in First Aid or similar because the owner of the dog seems to have been fortunate to have this lady come to her rescue.
It would be interesting to know if any one of them (police and bay watch) is trained in First Aid or similar because the owner of the dog seems to have been fortunate to have this lady come to her rescue.
The other two are complicit as the ‘rude’ ones for letting them behave as they did.
