    A Shaggin Wagon, Maltese style.

    Nice muddled Australian-South African accent!

The Aussie guy has an excellent sense of humour and wit. If he ever wants to try his luck in our politics, he’s got my vote.

  6. adsa says:

The guy is Paul Fenech, an Australian of Maltese descent – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Fenech

He once filmed in Malta as well for his well-known Fat Pizza world delivery series:

  7. Rob says:

The picture on the back door is not Gozo, but Marsaxlokk, I think.

  8. billygoat says:

This is actually a comedy series from down under, written and directed by a Maltese. The vid is really cool although the van lacks a “Ta’ Doughnuts” sign! :-)

  9. el bandido guapo says:

Fantastic. Most Maltese, being humourless, are likely to take him seriously, and not realise that the joke is on them, bigtime.

“Maltese are pumped – the rest don’t give a shit”

It would appear that our chavs are successfully interbreeding down under, and no, I don’t refer to the presenter.

  10. Man from Downunder says:

The man in the video is Paul Fenech, an Australian producer of Maltese descent. His productions included ‘Pizza’, the TV series which was broadcast on SBS, Australia’s leading multicultural broadcasting network, as well as ‘Fat Pizza’, a movie inspired from the same series, which was released in 2003.

The TV series was broadcast in several seasons.

In the series, Fat Pizza was the name of a Sydney-based pizzeria whose marketing line was “they’re big and they’re cheesy.”

Incidentally, the Malta van acquired by Paul Fenech could be invaluable to Malta’s Cops Caterers as they go about delivering pizza, bigilla and so on. What’s missing is a sticker with the sign “Labour Delivers,” one on each side of the van.
