Jason Micallef continues to draw the battle lines against Joseph Muscat. Now he’s aligned himself with Alfred Sant. Again.

Valletta 18 chairman Jason Micallef, secretary-general of the Labour Party under Alfred Sant’s leadership and chairman of the Labour broadcast media under Joseph Muscat, is right now on a walkabout in Mosta with Alfred Sant, pressing the flesh and orrajt-kif-inting.

Mosta, as you might know, is currently en fete and the through roads have been closed for the festivities, so there are plenty of people about.

So are we to understand that Micallef, in addition to chairing Valletta 18, will be managing Alfred Sant’s EP election campaign?

    I told you that the fissures will ensue sooner than later. The puppet-master at OPM is still up to his antics, so I wonder what Muscat’s camp are going to do now. Tony Zarb may be resigning too early.

    [Daphne – That was a misleading newspaper headline. Tony Zarb is not resigning. He is 59 and will retire at 61. He said at a conference that it was his last, and the media rushed to misinterpret that as a resignation, when what he meant was that he would have retired before the next conference, which is in four years’ time.]

    I never knew Sant was interested in village feasts. but the end justifies the means.He’ll soon be in Brussels offering himself to be made ‘makku’.
