There are so many garbage buildings in Malta that can only ge improved by graffiti, why pick on the only decent piece of architecture that this island has seen for decades?
All the comments of appreciation of a piece of crap that tried hard to copy Bansky but failed (miserably) are proof of why Malta is a hub for amateurs. As an artist I feel discouraged to showcase my art (in a legal way) to a country which clearly lacks artistic education, with the majority adorning their houses with Dallas 2000 kitsch. It also shows the level of spite the majority have towards the Piano project when they are ready to approve vandalism in every possible way.
It is no Banksy. If it were it would be worth 100000 euros at least.
I must admit though that it is very tastefully executed.
Reminds me of Bristol. The street art there, including several Banksys, has become a major tourist attraction.
It is fascinating.
No, he’s no Banksy, but this should be worth at least a 100 euros – for now. We’ll see if it gets better, fil-kaz naghmlulu gabra.
Oh come on, it looks like a stencilled drawing a five year old in the 1980s would do. Couldn’t he be a bit more creative?
How on earth did he get that thing printed up there?
Laser burnt by an artistic alien in a lost UFO.
Stencil/spray-can combo, mate!
Hey, we may have our own local Bansky or Plastic Jesus. And yes, it’s tasteful, not scribbling.
Sweet.
It’s amusing, most people assume it’s a “he”… how did he get up there? He’s no Banksy… etc etc.
I guess anything newsworthy must have been carried out by a “he”, unless it’s some form of Miley strip tease or royal birth.
No Carl, it’s just that only a male could be such a twat.
Where were the police?
Probably flipping burgers.

Many graffiti.
You should read the idiotic comments on that article and on Facebook, praising this piece of art that improves ‘city gash’, as they call it.
Thank god they’ve covered it up already.
The MGRM will object to the painting for sure.
