Right now, Facebook is full of examples of the growing Maltese tragedy of ignorance and irrationality
Here’s one who hasn’t noticed the nine years of training, scholarships, investment and restoration packages, thousands of Maltese living, studying and working across other EU member states, and the investment and input brought here by citizens of those other EU member states.
This woman hasn’t even noticed the Eur1.2 billion package which our former prime minister negotiated with the EU.
Given that everyone now has an internet connection and access to information, you just have to conclude that the problem is pathological.
Claudette Taliana
@Ivan if you’re waiting for answers then it’s going to be a loooooooooong wait. The EU only remembers tiny Malta when it comes to aiding other EU countries with massive Bailouts!

Has anybody else received a warning that I have just received when I tried to access this DCG website warning me that it was not safe to proceed because I could be accessing a hacker and not the genuine DCG’s website?
She teaches geography, if you please.
Injoranta bic-certifikat, Claudette Taljana.
If only a pill could be invented to cure stupidity.

Bloody (dishonest) idiot. Apart from all the other funds etc which Malta benefitted from, she’s “forgetting” the amount of money poured in to help with the migration problem. Malta is still a net beneficiary of EU funds and, even if it weren’t in the EU, it would still be obliged, under international law, to receive the migrants..
And this woman teaches our children?!
You seem surprised. Many science teachers in Malta can’t make out cheap propaganda from objective science. One example is Alex Ellul. His students get taught that global warming and climate change are fabricated myths.
What does she think Ian Borg does all day?
Actually, I’m wondering too.
This is sheer stupidity taking to task somebody who tries to have her say on a matter that we should all ponder upon. I don’t know the woman but I believe she is right in her comment. What is wrong is to express herself on such a hostile blog such as this.
[Daphne – Yes, you would believe she is right. You share her views on immigration and the EU: no and no. ‘The EU forgets about us’: as if the EU is there to take care of us like mummy. Manchester pub views…]
She doesn’t teach “our” children, if I can be forgiven a little narrow mindness, as she lives in Italy. Enjoying EU membership seems to blind some people to the obvious fact that you can’t get the perks without the responsibilities.
