What in the name of god? He must have friends in incredibly high places.

    • La Redoute says:

His friend’s now PM. There really wasn’t much competition, anyway. He had only the other Elves to compete against.

      • H.P. Baxxter says:

Joseph Muscat wasn’t prime minister in 2012. There would have been competition against PN “yoof” hangers-on at the time. And yet this turd gets selected. On what basis?

      • Not Sandy:P says:

He didn’t compete against the PN yoof. He competed against Labour trolls and Elves. Being the Elve in Chief helped.

His friend wasn’t PM then but he was PM in waiting. The big question isn’t “why Aaron”? It’s why did Joseph have to keep him sweet?

      • H.P. Baxxter says:

So the US Department of State selected candidate only from among Labour activists? I don’t think so. They asked a Maltese selection board for nominees and the Maltese, true to form, chose this subliterate twit.

Goes to show eh. It’s not about political allegiance, it’s about knowing people.

    • Not Sandy:P says:

I didn’t say the US department selected him. I said he only had to compete against Labour trolls and elves. Anyone else didn’t stand a chance.

  2. Catherine says:

Add to that, all people who know how to spell “elf”.

  3. La Redoute says:

Elve Aaron seems to think he’s on a par with Presidents and Prime Ministers simply because he was picked out of a mediocre pool as the official representative of the MLP youth section.

Zimbabwean premier Morgan Tsvangirai, indeed. I don’t see any Gieh Ta’ Xbiex here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morgan_Tsvangirai

  4. ciccio says:

The elve from Ta’ Xbiex City.

  5. Victor says:

    Achievements that would impress elves.

  6. oxo says:

I see nothing of effective experience in his achievements which can assure me as relevant to a CEO of such an important Corporation in our island. Can someone give us more on his working experience, particularly in similar post?

Talking about a post of CEO at Malta Freeport: was there any call for this post to the general public? how was he selected?

If not, then what on earth is happening in this country which is “Taghna lkoll”?

  7. Manuel says:

I wonder what the Chief Leader of the Elves, Gandalf Privitera, will be getting for his iced bun.

[Daphne – Privitera is no elf. He writes using his own name and identity.]

    • Boris says:

And as we are at it, Gandalf was a wizard and not an Elf, so please.

    • Michael says:

      Writes?

He only uses pointless capital words and a thousand exclamations to express a very biased and ridiculous point. I hope that is not considered writing.

    • Manuel says:

You are perfectly right, Daphne. However I am sure that he was the ‘brain’ behind Sant’s Elves and that they sought his ‘political insights’. I stand to be corrected, but Privitera came out in defence of the Elves way back in 2008

  8. Brian says:

    Tifel bravu u kapaci!

  9. Wayne Hewitt says:

We have a very apt word in Maltese… ‘Puppant’.

  10. Sir Lancelot says:

As far as I know, orders of merit have to be created in terms of the Gieh ir-Repubblika Act (Cap.251). How does Gieh Ta’ Xbiex feature in this context?

  11. I am leaning about this person from what he has written about himself. He seems to have been an active student, but does that limited experience make him experienced and qualified enough to run this huge enterprise in shipping and running a container terminal?

[Daphne – He is actually CEO of the regulator, Malta Freeport Corporation, rather than the freeport itself, which is known confusingly as Malta Freeport.]
