Why would you bother, if you’re in Thailand?
Somebody is posting on this website violent, bitter, aggressive and slanderous threats against me…all the way from Thailand.
Now let’s just try and understand the mentality. A barely literate Maltese person somehow manages to acquire the time and money to spend time in Thailand.
While in Thailand, he cannot leave his Mintoffian love for Joseph behind, and do whatever it is that Maltese men visit Thailand for. Nor can he let go of this website.
No, sitting on a Thai beach or a Thai terrace, he is compelled to read this website for the perverted pleasure of having it and me send him into paroxysms of lanzit-fuelled rage.
The near-descendant of pitchfork-bearers flies halfway across the world to use a smartphone for the same purpose.
It’s breathtaking.

Take this post. It should show that it is being posted in Argentina, as I am using an anonymiser. I was watching the Youtube video you linked to a couple of blogs before. That clip has proprietary music that is filtered in this country. Hence the anonymiser
[Daphne – As I have explained already to somebody else, when somebody who posts aggressive comments regularly from a Maltese IP suddenly sends one from an IP in Thailand, the assumption to make is that he is on holiday there, and not that he woke up one morning and suddenly decided to use a proxy or anonymiser. ‘If you hear the sound of hoofbeats, don’t think zebras, think horses.’ Especially when Thailand is splitting at the seams with Maltese people or people from Malta.]
I think you need to be looking for somebody with the same name as your mastiff.

It could be he/she is posting to this blog through a Virtual private network (VPN) where the real ip address is concealed and another server location in the network is chosen (Thailand in this case). Having said that, it still remains a fact that any Mintoffian who leaves Lilliput remains stuck in a bubble of shallowness and skewed world view laden with ‘lanzit-fuelled rage’ instead of taking the opportunity to expand horizons and realize there is an alternative to their miserable mindset.

[Daphne – I don’t think I shall. I knew his grandfather Leli Grech (his mother’s father) really well. A thoroughly lovely man and absolutely decent. So much part of my childhood. He was the workers’ foreman in my father’s lifts company for around 30 years, and his mother’s brother (also terribly nice and kind, and somebody I’ve known all my life) and cousin still work for him today.
So no, I don’t think this man would do anything so stupid, nasty and ill-judged, even though his personal Mintoffian rants about me always come back to me, this being Malta.
Incidentally, do you remember Gauci tal-Linef, opening shops everywhere during the Golden Years and practically supporting Xandir Malta with its advertising? That’s his father, so you will understand why this man loves Mintoff, Muscat and Labour.

Just to clarify, for those who may have misunderstood:
Santino Jr’s uncle (his mother’s brother) and Santino Jnr’s cousin (his mother’s brother’s son) still work with the lifts company.
They are just as nice, kind and decent as Leli was, though Santino Jr seems to be cut from a different cloth.

More likely than not, he or she is in Malta but using a VPN service that hides their IP and shows it as being anywhere in the world they wish to.

Lodge a report with cyber crime and insist they involve Thai police to track him down via their local ISPs. Every ISP would have his fixed IP allocation.
Daphne, there are many more advanced ways of camouflaging IP than proxies, principally using a method called IP host rerouting on some thai proxy. I have checked the IP and can confirm it is a web server in thailand, hosted on a personal network, for example a DSL connection at some person’s house used for hosting pirated media for example.
I would safely bet it is not really coming from Thailand, and you can assume the person is well into IT, specialising in networking.

I have explained already that this person (I know it’s the same person from his choice of nick and fake email) usually posts exactly the same sort of comments from a Maltese IP. So if he has suddenly, in the month of holidays, posted one from Thailand, the reasonable assumption to make is not that he suddenly decided to begin disguising his IP after not bothering to do so before, but that he is currently on holiday there. The couple of contenders I have in mind are not in hotels but in somebody’s second home there, so yes, of course it would be a personal network.]
There’s another suspect: a certain Edward Falzon from Cospicua, a retired policeman. He says that he wants to be a candidate for the EP elections next year with Labour.
He is married to a Thai lady who has a teenage daughter, and they are spending the summer in her native country.
If you have a look at his Timeline on Facebook it is full of racial hatred and abusive language against the immigrants, Africans in general, the EU and the Nationalist Party and all Nationalists.
Once he was on Xarabank and he was very arrogant, typical Labour style. His cover photo shows him speaking in a Labour activity sitting next to Dr Agius Decelis.

I don’t want to shut him up. But as I said, the fact that this man is forever badmouthing me (largely because he cannot handle the fact that I know the truth about him) does not mean he is the one posting criminal threats on this site from Thailand, so let’s not jump to conclusions.]
This blog must be exciting him much more than what he went for to Thailand.
We can conclude that no one in Thailand is showing any sexual interest in whoever it is who is writing those violent and threatening comments.
No, it’s not a proxy. The host name (node-9kk.pool-182-53.dynamic.totbb.net) is actually a TP-LINK TD854W ADSL (wireless) router with a Thai public IP address.
From the looks of it, this is a private home device supplied by TOT Public Company Limited, the primary telecommunications company in Thailand.
Whoever it is, is probably staying at someone’s private dwelling and using Samsung smartphones or laptops on that ADSL device.
[Daphne – Yes, I had reached that conclusion already based on other indications that this is somebody Maltese on holiday in a second home or similar in Thailand. Thank you for the technical info.]

The IP is a static one. It’s allocated to Asia Pacific Network Information Centre, a regional internet registry with offices registered in Australia. The communication is routed through an IP address in Thailand.. Still, it’s very likely that the origin is Thailand anyway.

There are Maltese citizens that even have a business, such as a bar, in Thailand. This particular individual would spend some months in Malta then go to Thailand for business.
I am a personal friend of Josef, aka Santino Gauci Jr. Believe me when I say that he is not the type to update a facebook status, let alone post on blogs, violent or otherwise.
I think some of your readers should think before they post an accusation like that.

It looks like it’s part of a government complex (probably something similar to our MEPA) so, perhaps the person in question could be using a public wi-fi service provided by that office.
If it is, their IT security sucks.
I hardly see the point of posting someones personal Facebook page, trying to establish if it is the person in question that Daphne is talking about. Then even when Daphne clarifys it is NOT the person in question and that she happens to know and respects the family well some jealous people with nothing better to do still carry on with pathetic and juvenile comments that are just seething from envy one presumes. PLEASE grow up!
