I can’t believe these are the standards. A lawyer, a member of parliament and one of the government’s representatives on the Public Accounts Committee.

  1. oxo says:

Who is exactly the artist – Silvio Farrugia or Luciano Busuttil?

    • Marlowe says:

Probably Silvio, since I understand he’s the photographer. Well merited as well, he seems to have stumbled on a sub-genre of Nature photography- Vegetable photography. Truly innovative.

    • george grech says:

Silvio Farrugia is the artist so that makes Luciano Busuttil a work of art.

Maybe it will find its way to an art auction and end up in Arani Issa Gharwien’s bedroom. He loves showing off at auctions.

  2. La Redoute says:

Artists generally improve on nature if they wish to flatter their subject. The subject in this photo has no neck, a very short left arm, an even shorter right arm, stunted fingers and has borrowed a larger, taller man’s suit jacket. The real life version must be something.

  3. T. Cassar says:

Was he taking Joseph Chetcuti’s nude shots there?

  4. curious says:

The person/company from where he bought that suit is certainly no artist.

  5. C Calleja says:

Standards are falling so fast, it’s going to take years to recover.

  6. Matthias says:

    I love old gadgets.

  7. The Mole says:

Textbook definition of a circle jerk.

  8. xejn ' xejn says:

And why is id-Dott posing and having photo shoots?

    Jesus wept.

    • curious says:

It’s the latest craze and cool thing to do. And don’t forget that this is such a necessity, while everyone is hard-pressed to pay bills.

  9. J. Aquilina says:

What type of man goes to a photographer to get himself snapped in such poses? And one as busy as he …

Oxo – The ‘dott’ had this photograph of himself taken at ‘Silvio Farrugia photography’ – hence Silvio Farrugia is the ‘true artist’, presumably because he managed to depict our ‘dott/M.P.’ in this pose.

  10. Mike says:

Random point, does anyone else cringe at the use of the word ‘dott’ (sic) especially on social network sites such as Facebook?

If you are friends with someone on your personal page (as opposed to a professional PR page), one would assume you are happy for them to call you by your first name. I mean seriously, who lets their friends call them dott?

  11. ciccio says:

Maybe Luciano should contact the Chairman of the Pharmacy Council for the details of his photographer and get some pictures taken in his birthday suit, with his mobile, old camera and red tie strategically positioned to spare us the nausea.

    Labour: Malta’s ball and chain

  13. U Le! says:

    Still life.

  14. Someone says:

I think “U r an artist.”, is the pidgin translation of “Qishek artist…”, which equates to “You have the physical traits and poise that one would expect of a movie star.”

In any case, wrong on both counts.

  15. anthony says:

    Malta’s own Yousef Karsh.

  16. Brian says:

And these are the people who were voted into parlament. You get what you vote for, in this case total rubbish.
