So it turns out that it is Silvio Scerri who is borrowing Manuel Mallia’s number-plates and not Manuel Mallia who is borrowing Silvio Scerri’s car.

Shouldn’t Cooper Industries, the US business which owns the Zero 88 brand, sue Silvio Scerri for the damage he is doing to their brand in Malta, and for bringing their brand in serious disrepute?
ZER 088. Now you see it. Now you don’t.
What will Manwel Mallia do next time he is invited to a party at Consuelo’s house?
Will he take back his plates and put them on a different car or does the Ministry of National Security or whatever it is called today, have two sets of plates assigned to it?
Zero 88 has the right product line-up for the Minister of National Security.

And for the rest of the Cabinet.

Why all this quibbling?
Did a Labour administration ever bother about such details?
As Mintoff said about the Constitution, he “couldn’t care less”.
