So, what’s the intellectually dishonest Martin Scicluna going to tell us about the matter of Elton Taliana?

Published: September 1, 2013 at 9:15am

That he thinks the composition of the Police Board is appalling, the outcome of its deliberations is shocking, the turning of justice on its head is indeed grave, but he still thinks he was right in saying that it was time for a change to Labour?

Why, exactly, does he imagine that people like me were saying the opposite?

Because unlike him, we correctly analysed the characters in this situation and despite not having lived as long as he has, we know that people can only give you what they’ve got.

It’s so bloody obvious that Martin Scicluna left Malta (like Yana Mintoff and others) before I was born and returned in the late 1990s.

That’s why, when assessing that shipload of scum, he always started from the point of assumption that they are normal, correct, civilised people.

This is another planned smokescreen along with the other witch hunts and inquistions, Enemalta, LGA, Local Councils just to mention a few and no agenda for the future.

I just wonder however, if it was another civilised state, would a Minister be allowed to retain his seat if he suddenly declared Eur 500,000 in cash out of nowhere, possibly never having declared their origin, and let alone as income and then lying about their alleged origin.

    The farce goes on.

Simon Busuttil had better be more articulate/ factual/ honest or else he’s going down in history as a modern Grandmaster Hompesch – the man who let Malta get trampled over by Labour for the SECOND time in 50 years.

What on earth does he mean he has faith in the Chairman Judge Franco Depasquale? The whole board condemned Taliana. And isn’t he the same judge who stopped showing up for work for years over a grudge but still kept receiving his salary?

[Daphne – No, he isn’t that judge. That judge is ANTONIO Depasquale.]

Faith and integrity, my foot. Simon get a grip because this is getting serious.

Martin Scicluna has been presenting himself as a modern Rousseau for quite some time.

  5. John Higgins says:

Simon should show more grinta and punch in his statements.

Being soft-spoken won’t earn him or indeed the country any points.

‘Intellectually dishonest’ – I like that. How appropriate and unfortunate. Regrettably there are too many like him in Malta.

  7. Francis Saliba MD says:

The intellectually dishonest excuse their conduct, that they know to be deplorable, by pleading that he who pays the piper calls the tune – and they do not object to play that terrible tune.
