petition

For the last month, the chairman of the Malta Council for Science and Technology has been badgering the nation via Facebook, the newspapers and the Labour Party’s television station to sign his petition to stop the Evil Witch of the Hills from cyber-harassing the Drunken Dentist of Wied is-Sewda.

But though his PRO at the Council, Lara Boffa, kindly did her bit on Facebook too, four weeks later he’s still got just 2,412 signatures for all his gut-busting efforts.

And one of those is mine. Not even his 5,000 Facebook friends signed it, still less the 166,000 people who voted Labour.

Provided that suicide is yours, Jeffrey, my wish would have come through, for deceiving me in voting for you in 2008.

JPO hasn’t yet understood the stark difference between cyberharassment and freedom of expression. As an alternative to partying, I suggest that he devotes his weekends to reading foreign papers. It will hopefully open his eyes and spare him a lot of embarassment.

Whilst on the subject of petitions and referendums, if you are a Maltese citizen and on the electoral register, you might want to sign the petition for the referendum about spring hunting. If you send an email to cashmalta2013@gmail.com they can send you the form to print out and fill in, which you can then post (not email) to one of the organisations collecting signatures.

Remember, whichever side of the debate you are on, it is still worth having a referendum about.

Does this blog post constitute “Cyberharrassment” according to JPO?

I can assure you I will never sign such a DESPICABLE petition – aimed solely at trying to shut down blogs etc such as yours.

JPO – you are such a disgrace – whatever has happened to you ?

What a contrast in the world we live in …..

Freedom of expression in civilised countries …….
    http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20131022/world/google-unveils-services-promoting-free-expression.491376

    and in Malta …..

JPO and the like hide behind Cyber haressing to try and gag freedom of expression through certain websites so that they will be free to abuse without cikku poplu knowing.

    Disgusting!
