What does the chief of the Pharmacy Council plan to do about the huge problem of out-of-stock medicines?

The chief of the Pharmacy Council

And where is deputy prime minister Louis Grech, who made the headlines in the electoral campaign by telling us that under a new Labour government, there will be a constant supply of medicine because if anything is short, he will himself, personally, give instructions to have boxes brought over by courier.

He has disappeared to the point where he is not even acting prime minister when his boss travels on holiday. Perhaps his best friend’s daughter, Michela Spiteri, will carry out an undercover investigation into his whereabouts for her newspaper, The Sunday Times, or pin him down for a hot interview about mysteriously unfulfilled promises. That should be one hell of a scoop.

He may fiddle with them but please tell him to leave the violin where it is

  2. Antoine Vella says:

Before the elections, the PL did not even want to discuss a contingency plan regarding out-of-stock medicines because they assured us “it will never happen”.

And it would be an excellent idea for Net television to show a clip of some Labour speaker saying that it will never happen.

First those skinny young models, now Chetcuti. My work colleagues will think I have a fetish for this kind of man if they spot me reading your blog.

And il-Guy had said that delivering medicines to homes is just a matter of “kemm inqabbdu erba’ drivers”. What trash. And we elected them.

At last, a sane editorial about Arriva. No, it’s not in Times of Malta but in The Malta Independent.

I had never noticed the crucifix round Joseph’s neck before.

    How very ironic!

The pharmacy council regulates the pharmacy profession. It is the goverment pharmaceutical service which procures medication.

Typically socialist. Investigations that bring about excessive controls which inevitbly lead to abuse. And with scarcity we will surely have underhand money and bribes.

  9. La Redoute says:

Konrad Mizzi had said there wouldn’t be a problem because of Labour’s Marvellous Managerial skills.

Marie Louise Coleiro Preca had said more or less the same thing.

They are both now ministers. We can safely assume that their Marvellous Managerial Skills and Incredibly Poor Judgement are wreaking havoc there too.

You have to hand it to them. That’s an amazing record of disastrous achievement for a government that hasn’t even been in power for six months.

If they can’t manage basic logistics, imagine taking on the plant at Marsaxlokk.

And if they’re in a panic to deliver or save face on costs, it becomes horrible considering what cutting corners on that one implies.

  10. Allo Allo says:

I’m sure he’ll give his shirt off his back to sort it out. Considering he’s also giving his underwear we should end up with an oversupply of medicines shortly.
