I knew we would get there eventually, and sooner than expected, we have.

All the dots appearing over the last few days have pointed to ‘lateral thinker’ Edward de Bono being the connection between Shiv Nair and Malta, between Nair and the Labour Party, but I couldn’t quite join them up.

135 Holland Park Avenue is Nair’s London address, where some of his businesses are registered too. Now look at this.

  1. Dott Abjad says:

Set a lateral thinker to catch a lateral thinker.

  2. beingpressed says:

Sorry but didn’t we know this already?

    [Daphne – No, we didn’t.]

  3. Edward says:

Is it just me, or is Debono going to suddenly get his “Palace of Thinking” out of nowhere, in some prime location, like right near the new City Gate?

  4. Chris Ripard says:

Let’s not forget that loads of people, including Eddie Fenech Adami swallowed De Bono hook line and sinker too . . . unlike me.

    • We are living in Financial Times says:

      Dr Fenech Adami never did.

    • We are living in Financial Times says:

There are two distinct parts to Edward de Bono, be it that they are made of each other. There is the man. And there is the genius.

The man has no grounding and his tactics are the very same Joseph has displayed: truth is of no issue; ethics and morals not in their dictionary. This is the true link to the two, and then there are all the others.

The genius has marketed tools that work brilliantly in a positive setting where all checks and ethical standards are in. Whether they were all his to begin with is another issue.

The couple at Holland Park have “managed” Edward de Bono for years. Conflicts of interest have always been present with them in relation to his work, but Edward de Bono and all those who are and will be responsible for his Intellectual Property once he is dead, that may include the Holland Park team but certainly includes Caspar de Bono – Edward de Bono’s son, who sits on the Board of the Financial Times – have always supported Paddy and Dick Hills in their intrigues, even when their conflicts of interest were exposed clearly before them.

      • H.P. Baxxter says:

There is but one part to Edward de Bono: the salesman.

Just because he’s a billionaire doesn’t mean he’s a genius. A genius brings new understanding to the world.

      • We are living in Financial Times says:

These things are not always available to the world for inspection on a plate. The important factor relevant to Malta at the moment is that these tools have purposely been used in a negative context, with negative intentions and negative objectives by the Labour Party

      • It-tezi ta' Malta says:

de Bono is not a thinker. He is a marketing man. That is what he sells, and that is how he sells it.

And that is how Muscat and his Taghna Lkoll religion were sold.

      • Natalie says:

I never liked the man. Always seemed to me to be stating the obvious and then looking delighted with himself for doing so.

He actually confused me when I was younger until I realised that if you act like you’ve discovered something fantastic, people will instinctively play along. It’s a magician’s (and our Joey’s) way of things.

      • We are living in Financial Times says:

        @ It-tezi ta’Malta

Yes. If he was a proper thinker he wouldn’t sabotage his own projects, and his operation would run under one serious brand, not under several little semi-autonomous questionable labels, like the variations to Nair’s name.

  5. ken il malti says:

That is a nice collection of self-important frauds over there in those three photos.

  6. We are living in Financial Times says:

Paddy Hills promoted Nair coming out to Malta and Edward de Bono was aware of it.

  7. AE says:

I have always thought Debono a charlatan. He managed to hoodwink many with his bullshit. Good for him, but exposing Malta to the machinations of someone like Nair takes networking to a whole different level. A dangerous one.

  8. Ġames says:

Excellent! A classic story. Pity so many others, with their resources and newsrooms, have not even managed to do a fraction of what you have done here. I’m so looking forward to seeing how this story is going to develop now. Well done! Che trovata.

[Daphne – I’m afraid it’s not a story, but reality. You shouldn’t be watching it unfold with the enthusiasm of somebody seeking to be entertained, because we are going to have to live with this.]

  9. TROY says:

….and I bet you, somwhere in those dots, there is a Johnny Dalli.

  10. Anthony Pace says:

I’ve always liked and admired Dr De Bono and could never understand why my wife always rolled her eyes in exasperation whenever he’s mentioned.

Turns out she’s been right all along.

    Again.
