Bloomberg has picked up on the significance of Malta’s move towards China, and dedicated an entire interview to the subject

Bloomberg

The link is below. Be sure to read it with your mind in focus, and in the context of other news reports and information, because there are plenty of clues to what will happen next.

The one I picked up immediately (there are others) is the sale of Maltese (and therefore, EU) citizenship to Chinese people and others from non-democratic states.

This information was apparent already in the document which set up Identity Malta – sneaked Identity Malta in, actually, because there was no press announcement, last month.

The framework and system for the sale of citizenship is within Identity Malta, which was set up by Manuel Mallia’s Ministry and which is headed by Labour candidate Joe Vella Bonnici. The framework document was worded in such a way that it was apparent at the outset that the government had already chosen the person to head it.

More about that in my next post.

China is establishing a military and intelligence base in the Mediterranean.

“China is now planning construction of a massive new embassy in Malta, expected to be even bigger than the large U.S. embassy.”

  2. H.P. Baxxter says:

As if it wasn’t clear enough who funded Labour’s return to power.

I don’t know. I just don’t know. Is it time to refresh the tree of liberty with some blood? What say you, ciccio?

  3. curious says:

Did he say this with a straight face?

“We don’t really consider European affairs to be foreign affairs any longer. That is the most significant shift in foreign policy that we have adopted. We see European affairs as an extension of national affairs.”

  4. Tabatha White says:

    Je früher, desto weniger.

  5. Volley says:

Muscat says here: “It is our duty to help all those who need our help in such situations. That is where the strategic position of our country comes into play. But this is important not only in times of necessity and instability.”

What a hypocrite. This is the same man who treated people rescued from sinking boats, at the start of the summer, like cattle, and who insulted Commissioner Malmstrom by telling her ‘Take them to your country’.

  6. Daffid says:

    Naive or just stupid?

    • Victor says:

Neither. He is simply a traitor. He has sold our country, no more, no less.

I sincerely hope (NOT) that the people who could not see further than their nose and gave him the possibility to do this are sleeping peacefully at night.

  7. just me says:

“We find it quite extraordinary that the Chinese show us such a great deal of respect and have so much time to devote to us.”

Is it possible that Muscat is so naive? Why is it so difficult for him to realise that the Chinese are just using him?

  8. Pandora says:

And Muscat probably feels flattered by this attention without understanding WHY Bloomberg wants to know more about Malta’s China connection.
