Citizenship comes with the right to vote in general elections

When this government begins to sell citizenship, it will also have begun to buy votes. Citizenship comes with the right to vote, and in selling citizenship, you also sell those people the right to vote in Malta’s general elections, and in choosing the government.
Residents have the right to vote, too – but only in local council elections, which are largely irrelevant.

The big question is: was it all planned well ahead of the election?
Whether it was planned before the national election last March is now a moot point. Or did you mean the MLP leadership election in 2008?
I think we are seeing one unfolding of the objectives of “Mintoff’s road map passed to me(JM)” (his words) in the revelation of China.
The conceptual path is one he followed through faithfully with the mentors on the list (his explanation) since the early 2000s.
Can someone put a stop to this please?
There has been lots of worrying news since the elections but this is definitely the most worrying and serious thing I have read in a long time. I hope everyone realises what this means.
And they were “worried” about Sicilians….what superficial hypocrites.
I am actually feeling sick.
I realised that things were very bad, and I never trusted Labour, but this is beyond frightening.
Joseph Muscat is not a socialist, but an admirer of Communists. He has slowly worked his way up until he is in a position to hand Malta over to his communist Chinese masters.
Perhaps they are afraid that the switchers will wake up and smell the coffee. Some new blood will have other motives to lean left next election.
