Gara li tfacca zring minn dawk il-hoxnin u hadlu postu. Minn dak inhar ‘l hawn id-dinosawru ghadu bil-geddum, u l-aktar ghax biex taxxaqha z-zring kien switcher.

    Edward Scicluna (surely there must be a Sciclunasaurus?) has taken a leaf out of Cristina Fernandez’s (Argentina’s president’s) book. Instead of doing something about rising inflation, he wants the National Statistics Office to change its method of drawing up statistics.

    The reason why nobody in his right mind trusts Argentina’s official statistics is precisely because the authorities keep fiddling with them.

    This is the road Edward Scicluna is leading us down to.

    Please note that the National Statistics Office is an independent entity and has been drawing up statistics in pretty much the same European accepted way for years.
