There are NO airport security regulations prohibiting the taking of pictures in security restricted areas

Somebody who knows what he’s talking about has sent in the following message:

There are NO airport security regulations prohibiting any person from taking photos in security restricted areas within the terminal.

The only area where photos cannot be taken is the screening point before the departures lounge, and that does not actually stem out of any law or regulation, but is something that is imposed and enforced by the airport operator itself.

The police are way out of their depth here. The first thing that Kurt Sansone would have done, if he were a real journalist and had no agenda, is ask the police under which chapter and article of the law they investigated Norman Vella when they arrested him. But of course he won’t be doing that any time soon.

The police statement said that they took action because of an alleged offence in an area controlled by the police.

If the police are emboldened to do as they wish and violate the law themselves in public areas under their control, what do they do to arrested persons, held sight unseen?

We knew your lot would be bad, Eddy, but we never DREAMED it would be THIS bad. As for you, you are so blinded (‘blinkered’ isn’t even in the same ballpark) by your pathetic-to-the-point-of-comical faith in all things Labour, that you’ve even started making up your own stories.

      • Watchful eye says:

        Eddy, welcome back.

Carry on uncovering the Malta Labour Party’s deceit.

Eddy, has Joseph Muscat not offered you a comfortable position on a board as yet?

Or are you paid from Castille to stay on the comments board of timesofmalta.com?

If exclamation and question marks were precious stones, Eddy Privitera would single-handedly have used up the world’s supply by now.

Amazing how a septuagenarian writes like a teenager with stunted intellectual abilities! (There, I used one exclamation mark before they run out).

    • Natalie says:

Personally, I think that Ramona and the Coconut caught sight of Norman Vella and decided, “Let’s give that State Enemy a hard time.”

      • Natalie Mallett says:

My exact feelings. I think they did it for a laugh.

Sadists, the blooming lot. However, he who laughs last laughs best.

Times will change and at the rate they are going, they will be hitting the brick wall sooner than anticipated.

I just hope that the PN would have learnt their lesson by then and start protecting their own for a change.

  3. AE says:

Kurt Sansone is just a mouth-piece for Labour. Just because he poses as a journalist, it doesn’t make him one. Shame on his editors for letting him create the damage that he does.

    • Anthony Briffa says:

The Times has fallen in esteem, as the agenda of some of its reporters has, over the last few years but especially the last year, been only too apparent.

The way Kurt Sansone has reported this serious matter (and been allowed to report it that way by his superiors) makes the agenda evident.

The shifting of the issue of the Super One reporters course in London, which is of a national interest as it is being funded from government funds, to the events surrounding Norman Vella – Norman Vella, the bad boy, harassing two Government High Officials who were minding their own business at the departure area during his shift hours – mission accomplished.

It will take more than the occasional strong editorial for the Times to regain its previous esteem with the Maltese readers, except for likes of Privitera, who dominate its electronic version with their idiotic comments.

    • Rahal says:

Kurt (Sansone), tista tara baqax nugrufun fil-bini minn meta il-Laburisti bhalek harqu t-Times?

      • Tinu says:

Kurt Sansone is not fit to work with the supposed free press. He was uncovered for what he is in this serious matter concerning Norman Vella.

    • ciccio says:

      “Kurt, ghandna bzonnok fit-Times.”

      “OK, Joseph, Uzani kif trid.”

    Who controls the CCTV?

After all, they’re taking everyone’s picture.

    • 666 says:

In China the state owned television station is called CCTV and they control peoples minds in what kind of shows they broadcast and new they report…… we will follow that trend

  5. chacha says:

Poor Sansone he is still waiting for his candyfloss
