Cyrus Engerer can’t tell satire apart from the real thing. He’s going to make a great Labour MEP.

Cyrus satire

The National Report is a satirical website which, like The Onion, specialises in deadpan delivery of pseudo news features and interviews which read like the real thing but aren’t.

Cyrus Engerer, who is running for the European Parliament on the Labour ticket, has read one such piece and hasn’t understood it to be satire but has taken it literally.

He has come over all shocked and has posted a link on Facebook with the remark that “it reminds me of Nazi times”. Reminds him? Was he there at the time?

Well, he can’t really do worse than Cuschieri, can he.

Cyrus was not shocked with the Gestapo/Stasi-like method used and approved by the Commissioner of Police in the arrest of Norman Vella. Maybe he thought it was satire.

  2. albona says:

He is not really the sharpest tool in the box though is he?

    • H.P. Baxxter says:

Don’t put “tool” and “box” in the same sentence or you’ll set off Cyrus’s sexual discrimination alarm.

      • albona says:

They will soon have me marched off to some Orwellian equal rights tribunal for that one. Baxx, do come and visit me in gaol.

‘Reminds’ him of Nazi times. How old is he?

  4. P Shaw says:

Joe Cuschieri, Cyrus, Claudette Baldacchino and Marlene Mizzi are the new normal. They are no longer the exception.

He is not the sharpest tooth-prick in the box either.

  6. Monty Bello says:

    What an utter twat.

Bet prisons feature prominently in his fantasies.

This man aspires to be an MEP? God help us.

Is it worse that one of his ‘friends’ agrees with the article’s content ?

Wicc ta’ imbeccili u karattru oxxen, dan il-bniedem.

  10. A. Charles says:

At the rate of imbecility we are getting from defenders of this government, I will not be surprised that Engerer could well become an MEP.
