The headline reads: “Want to become European? In Malta, it can be done for 650,000 euros.”
And in the text: “To try and cut down its debt, the Maltese government has come up with an original solution: selling passports. (…) Citizenship by birth in a territory, by right of blood, or just… by right of wallet?”

The scheme is so hare-brained everyone keeps assuming we’re in the shit financially.
It just doesn’t register we have an electorate so primitive as to vote these morons in.
