The article which I uploaded yesterday in translation from the online edition of the Frankfurter Allgemeine – SALE OF CITIZENSHIP: ‘MALTA TRAFFICS HUMAN BEINGS (DEALS IN HUMAN TRAFFICKING)’ is on the front page of today’s (Sunday) edition, which has the greatest readership of the week.

Furchtbar!
This is surely the most damning of these reports.
Muscat’s scheme is not different in principle from the human trafficking that criminal organisations have set up between Africa and Europe, some of it via Malta, of poor, persecuted, African immigrants in return for the lifetime savings of those poor souls.
What is to stop the government now selling cheaper passports to asylum seekers to get them through and out of Malta quickly?
Joseph Muscat thinks he can put a price tag on everything and everyone – for example he bought MPs like Silvio Schembri with four cushy well-paid jobs to remain silent and loyal and is willing to put a price tag even on our citizenship/passport.
Brigadier Martin Xuereb proved to be a man of high moral values. He can’t be bought by Joseph Muscat with a cushy job in Brussels. The Brigadier has my full admiration.
There is a big sector of the Maltese population which is really angry at how we’ve been humiliated as a nation around the world. They feel that Muscat put a price tag around their necks.
I sincerely hope that in the coming months Malta will not suffer the aftermath of the international bad press we had lately.
I believe that certain countries, like the USA, Germany and the UK put pressure on our fearless leader to reverse this cash for secret Maltese citizenship scheme.
For those who would still say “mhux xorta?” (why not?) I just ask them to appreciate, with their low standards, that the PN governments fought tooth and nail and worked hard to give them a passport worth €650,000.
Trust me, Joseph Muscat did not give Silvio Schembri four cushy well-paid jobs to keep him silent and loyal. He doesn’t have to. Silvio Schembri is such a staunch Labourite (Laburist ahdar mil-kbar) that he would do anything the PM tells him to do. The only reason why he has four jobs is because he’s greedy as hell.
Remember when “better the devil you know” was something people rolled their eyes at. It was a line used in almost every Labour campaign video.
Now let’s see, China, push-backs, power station PPP,citizenship scheme.
OK, we now know the Devil we didn’t. Can we have another election please?

No need to check if this report is on Daphne’s list; it’s there. What I find strange is the dedication of disqus.com/Kummentatur/incineratur – he spent these last two days spewing half truths and blatant lies on the Telegraph.
I suspect his name begins with an F.
Some of those comments by Maltese people on the Telegraph website made me cringe. I just couldn’t bear to go on reading them. First the government comes up with this shameful sale of citizenship scheme and then you get these troglodytes spewing vomit on an international newspaper’s website in an attempt to justify the scheme.
Do you remember those naive and gullible, sick and stupid people – where are they now, incidentally? – who used to say, Why not try Muscat?
